all gtx1060 are nvidia. He is asking what brand  laugh.gif

for mining, most important part is the memory. samsung based memory perform best, followed by micron and lastly hynix (true for nvidia card only, amd user please dont bash me), this is based on my experience.

so if u can get a card, regardless of brand, which use samsung memory. you are in luck. most gtx1060 still available on the Malaysia market today are one with hynix, samsung memory all kena rembat already

i think this applies if you are mining ethereum..

I'm mining on 3 Nvidia cards(1080ti and 2 1070), but i'm mining Zcash. Zcash is more towards core clock speed..overclocking the memory does not improve the hashrate (Sol/s) ..but overclocking the core clock will benefit the hashrate.

I've tested by overclocking and underclocking my memory speed, the hashrate remains the same...

but if i switch and mine ethereum, then memory speed will come to play...

I really don't understand a thing about mining.

Padan muka me need pay 20% a month from my monthly mining revenue to the farm manager

zcash is using equihash algo.. nicehash sometimes mine using equihash algo but i find using ewbf miner will get better performance..

like me, i mine zcash, deposit to bitfinex wallet. and do exchange zec to btc or zec to eth...

eh??
that means i am on equihash, i should be boosting my gpu clock instead of memory clock?

i reduced power limit, means i doing it wrongly already.?

that's what I did on equihash, i'll boost the gpu clock, decrease power limit around 75-80% , I wont do anything on memory clock..

if I want a quite efficient miner but sacrificing my hashrate, i'll set 65% power limit, +210Mhz gpu clock. This will get me roughly around 630Sol/s at 145watts on the 1080ti, and around 400 Sol/s at 90-100watts on the 1070..

but if you use nicehash, they tend to switch algo , so its better to boost both gpu and memory clock ..

Increasing gpu clock, but reducing power, wont it affect the performance? I havent try it tho. Cos it crashed the moment i boost it.

I have disabled all other algos except equihash. Cos either its my card, or win10.

Btw, sols? If in miner its showing 275.xxx h/sols, what does that mean?
275 sols?

is it possible to check this memory brand via software?
since the spec shit dont mention memory brand.

im using GPU-Z software to check the memory manufacturer

Sols are hashrate for zcash, its like MHs for ethereum.. usually Sols is the same as Hs

reducing power and increasing the clock speed is not reducing performance..unless you reduce power limit and don't increase gpu clock..then you'll get reduce performance...its about getting the right balance of performance/watt for the card

btw if u use nicehash, try using ur cpu for mining too, I tried using my ryzen 1600, getting extra 0.80usd from the cpu alone ..

I'm mining using my gaming rig, so when i'm not gaming , i'll use the cpu + 3gpu to mine... but when I game, i'll just mine with 2 gpu..

For Hynix card, if you are mining ETH, try reducing memory clock. i reduced mine to -150, and got 5% increase in MHs in all 6 cards in one of my rig. i also reduced the power to 65%, no impact on performance whatsoever.

This is, however, applies only to hynix card, i tried on my samsung card and got shitty performance.

I read on other forum, it got to do with hynix based memory timing (which i dont know what)

Im mining equihash using nicehash. Thanks for the info, i wont overclock my memory anymore. Currently farming at 272 H/s idk how to convert to Sol/s

Anyways can suggest how to mining zcash without nicehash? seems like nicehash is taking too much from me sweat.gif

wow, how many cards you using to get that 272 MH?

i mine zcash using EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner,

u can use ewbf miner and join miningpool..

zcash.miningpoolhub.com is a good place to start, or even flypool has their zcash mining pool too..

i find ewbf miner will give extra sols compared to nicehash..

btw 1 sols = 1hs.. so 272H/s is same as 272sol/s

Hi, I am looking to invest in a mining setup at budget around <RM20k.

Any trusted seller that I can deal with?

I am located at Kuantan but willing to travel down to KL if necessary. Thanks!

just come back from IT Fair at midvalley. There's one booth selling mining rigs ranging from 12-20k. you might wanna come and check it out.

sorry i didn take any picture of the mining rig and their specs.

guys. i was thinking. how about mining using nicehash and using their own wallet.
btc amount that receive use to buy some power that NH offer. is that good? rather than the payment amount sit in the wallet its better to buy the hash power. right?

does anyone try to buy the power package from NH? come share.
