assume:
1.u use nicehash to mine
2.ur 1060 is 6gb
3.u run full load 24/7
4.ur pc on full load consume 550w
5.bitcoin price remain the same

based on nicehash passed 30days data. u can earn around ~51USD/month (RM218) using 1060 6gb
ur tnb bill based on 550w is around RM133/month
ur net profit = 218 - 133 = RM85/month.
above just an estimation based on the above assumption. since u so curious  whistling.gif

This will do. Thank you so much, this is very helpful.

Should be less than RM 80
Plus your internet fees, u get back almost nothing

Even if i didnt do mining, i still need to pay for the internet fees. Like i said this is just like a casual mining for me.

I bought gtx 1060 3GB and did a casual mining.

Using nicehash, my earning/day is 1.47usd @ Equihash @ 261.12 Sol/s

This is out of box performance, no modding etc.

Is this acceptable or underperformed?

Acceptable, quite good for this card actually, this is the current state of mining -- cannot make profit after you factor in the high risk of your equipment koyak within 1 year due to 24x7 mining.

even after modding, you are talking about AT MOST 10% additional earning, 1.47*1.1*4.3 = <RM7 per day, might as well buy bitcoin directly and enjoy the growth wave before it stabilize above USD5000 price point.

Russia & China might also come out with specialized GPU mining machines which will make your GPU looks like toys, and your earning will drop further, they also enjoy very cheap electricity.

Thank you. Anyways as per what Goldfries always said, i did this as a hobby. I understand that this will not make me rich, but if i could get RM80/month. I can use it to casually reduce my internet bill payment.

I'm well aware with the future risk. Soon even Nvidia wil launch a dedicated mining gpu. But i need a new GPU for my personal use, so might as well run nicehash, perhaps by 6 months, even if i cant make profit, i can still reduce the cost of my gpu. In the end, i still have the GPU. So let us make what we can with current situation, while my gpu still not looks like toy.

Risk of equipment koyak, i read somewhere that i can send the for warranty. 1 to 1 exchange. And I'm using zotac so, that is 5 years warranty. rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

Buying Bitcoin directly is a risky investment that im not yet willing to take, if the price went up it is good. But if the price went down, there is nothing much i can do. Like i said, if i use that money to upgrade my GPU, if worst come to worst, i still have the GPU.

My 1070 on nicehash

Daily income 0.00081556 BTC
2.88 USD
Weekly income 0.00570895 BTC
20.18 USD
Monthly income 0.02446691 BTC
86.49 USD

GTX 1060 @ RM1,150~ = 1.47USD daily
GTX 1070 @ RM2,069~ = 2.88USD daily
GTX 1080 @ RM2,639~ = 3.33USD daily?

i guess income is really parallel with gpu price

Wanna share my 1 month mining experience

Been mining Zcash with 3 x Zotac GTX 1080ti Amp Extreme and 1 x Asus GTX 1080 OC. Hash rate is about 2700 sols.

Payout perday is around 0.06 Zcash, so for one month I can get 1.8 Zcash. Return for my first month of mining is around USD 396/ RM1,700 (based on current Zcash price).

Cost of investment is around RM 15,000. Electricity cost is about RM450.

After deduct electricity cost, my profit is about RM 1,250 for the first month.

RM 1,250/RM 15,000 = 8.3%
*
Very Nice bro, Can please also advise if my projected earning for your case in 12 Months is correct or not. Im planning to invest too but still doing the maths.

Months 1-3 RM1,250 = RM3,750
Months 4-6 RM1,100 = RM3,300
Months 7-9 RM950 = RM2,850
Months 10-12 RM800 = Rm2,400

Total = 12,300

Sell of Graphic Card after 1 year depreciation = Rm1500 x 4 = RM6000

Grand Total = 18,300

zcash is using equihash algo.. nicehash sometimes mine using equihash algo but i find using ewbf miner will get better performance..

like me, i mine zcash, deposit to bitfinex wallet.  and do exchange zec to btc or zec to eth...

Im mining equihash using nicehash. Thanks for the info, i wont overclock my memory anymore. Currently farming at 272 H/s idk how to convert to Sol/s

Anyways can suggest how to mining zcash without nicehash? seems like nicehash is taking too much from me sweat.gif

Be careful with GPU mining, no more ROI with current rate!

With current rate, it will take more than 1 year to recover your cost at current return rate. But you have to factor in that your return is decreasing at -20-30% every month, so, after 1 year, your won't get back your ROI because electricity cost is higher than your return already.

For example:
1060 cost: 1400
June return: RM8.5/day
July return: RM7/day
August return: RM5.5/day
Sep return: RM 4.5/day
Oct? Nov? Dec?....
Electricity you can estimate roughly RM1/day/card
+ mining rig of CPU setup...
+ risk of card damaging after average 6 months...
*
THis is actually true, mining is hardly profitable for GPU mining. If you are planning to venture it, put it on hold first, and wait BTC goes back to USD4500
