As much as I dislike the new reward system I will give it few days to proper evaluate than jus knee jerk reaction. I m pretty sure Niantic has gone through all sort of scenarios to balance pissing everyone off and still making profit as a company

If no more prestige, I think I can clear off at least 300 of the mon from storage.

In summary... this update despite the bling new look and all... is quite boring.

- Decays too fast. defenders not challenging... just one big Ttar/D9 more or less clean sweep the whole lineup at least 1.5x if dodge. Takes waaaaay less resources to take down gym.

- Raids not out yet but regular gym doesn't encourage building strong mons since don't need strong ones to attack and all defenders become equally rubbish.

- Not rewarding. Battled whole morning for 2 coins. Previously blur blur also at least 10 coins.

- Encourages spoofing.

- The bugs but this will eventually be ironed out.

What I do like:

- Entering the battle... it showed my DB/DC D9 had won 600+ battles.

- Bling

I supposed if you have gotten your Raid Pass, the message will change to "There are no raids nearby." It happened to me, but once i received the Raid Pass from spinning a gym's disc, the message changed from not available at my trainer's level to no raids nearby.

Well.. the endless gym I battled this morning (near my office but out of range) has the same mons in it with motivation being topped up since 9am.

Everytime I checked, they don't fall below 2/3

I think the point is that it shows more than half of the active players are spoofing/botting.

and got one noob comment say "why only lvl35 can play raid, all lvl35 above are spoofers"

If the revamp was meant to retain players, then setting Gym Raids to Level 35 and above will totally discourage all except the hard core players. It is no mean feat to dedicate so much time and effort to grind millions and millions of XP.

I for one may finally throw in the towel.
