I booked last Sunday (18/6) - but I guess by the time register in system it is already Monday (19/6). My SA say end July and dare not promise earlier.

Sigh, getting very excited leh...

But when I was scouting for a good deal, most of the SA say delivery in mid - end Aug, so dunno if this SA can really deliver by end July or not.

Which branch is this ? I will avoid this.

I call up some SA, if booking now some say end of July and some say August. One SA says they ramping up production for new CRV, so Civic will be less. I suspect he bullshit.
Hope to book one and replace my old car very soon.

Oh I see. Hmmm. Indeed they have the best discount offer. I pass my phone number to their sales until now no news. May skip this branch then.

@isr25 @Newbie838 thanks for sharing your opinions. It seems like maintainance wise, silver check most of the boxes in comparison with other colors. I'm still keen towards white atm. smile.gif

Do you guys apply any coating(or something similar along the line). Do you think it worth the investment for long term maintenance purposes ?

Hmm.. its not that bad, but I drove a conti car as my daily driver previously and yes the NVH levels are obviously higher on the civic. Was thinking of doing soundproofing 4 doors and also been seeing this rubber strip thingy that they stick around the doors, does that really help? Saw one that charges RM200++ for it.

Sigh... Not really keen on the idea of having someone disassembling the door panels to do the soundproofing la, hence the rubber strip thingy seems like worth a try. Also would it consider void warranty to do soundproofing the 4 doors by sticking sound dampening materials on the doors?

I've got the modern steel color on my civic and it does seems to attract more bird poo (study shown that darker colored cars get poo'd on more) than my previous car which was white. In terms of maintainance wise, white isn't too bad to care for, its always the dirt strips that happens to occur below the side mirrors (door panel / front fenders) that will annoy white car owners.

As for coating, I did it with 3M coating and saves alot of time when you wash your car. Even some of the bird poo slides off upon contact or washed away when rained. For me it's worth the investment to protect your car with coating.

Another cheaper alternative is to DIY, get clay bar, glaco windscreen products, and self-coating products (e.g. Soft99 Fusso coat - 12months).

I've got Ceramic Pro on my car. Silver package. If anything, it's good for protection. Bird poop and just about anything else wipes right off with a piece wet tissue paper. Washing the car is also so much easier as the dirt simply falls off. More than that, well....there ain't much. It's mostly for protection. Ceramic Pro does a good job but if you're hard working, you could save the money and wax it yourself. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the suggestions folks, it's very helpful. Thanks for introducing Soft99 to me, I was shock about all the reviews online about how useful and reliable it was. If that's the case, I guessed I'll be a happy guy if I were to go with WOP + Soff99 Fusso Coat. Guessed it would be a good combo.

But of course, it will even better if the coating (or detailing) was done by the professional with appropriate equipment, skills and stuff. I second you guys that it will be a worthwhile investment.

Apart of me been thinking to save up those money and spend it on aesthetic mods instead, you know, the usual grille, wrap, body kits and stuffs biggrin.gif

God damn... The SA must be hot selling since didn't even bother to register your booking! No wonder your waiting time was ridiculous... should lodge a complaint bro!

Good to hear you received your car though... Hope you enjoy riding it as much as we do smile.gif

That's too much. I think they are overbooked and not honest. It's a good thing they don't call me, I can skip it for good. Congrats ! Enjoy your ride, doyok2630 thumbup.gif .

I contact a few and visited one. Apparently those with 3S, SA gives less discount and cautiously promising delivery date (up to 2 months). Others give more discount, seems to able deliver within 1 month hmm.gif . They would not say have ready stock, ask to book first.

So the SA I talked to, isn't lying. It can only mean, longer delivery time for Civic sad.gif
