why not use Ebony & Ivory as LBG? I don't mind a LBG with normal ammo but with rapid fire and a very large clip

charge blade is really fun to use once u learned it. the combo technique very addictive when u able to pull it off.

Guys.....need recommendation on armor mix & match....usually what is important to consider at 1st?

1) Skill,
2) Slot,
3) Def,
4) Outlook,
5) Resistance to Fire, Water, Thunder, Ice, Dragon
6) Etc

I just finish the game main quest.......the last boss xenojiva has it's own hunting or optional quest to hunt for crafting?

HR 70 player here. It really depends on what you're fighting against and what weapon you're using. For example you would totally edit your build for Hazak and run Effluvia resistance 3 or Wind protection against kushala

Most people go full offense (attack, critical weakness, heroic, agitator etc) and ignore utility skills that would a lot more useful.

Earplug 5 is consistently the most useful skill to have, particularly against Nergigante. Handicraft 5 is also really important if the weapon you're using is able to reach "White Sharpness". This video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_B6zzuaTsg) would explain that.

I rock up with Evade extender as well because I run a switch axe build and it helps me stick to the boss like glue when I'm in sword mode (does the most damage but not mobile at all) or easily dodge some of their attacks.

This is what I roll with
Weapons: Axe of Demons
Head: Bazel Helm B
Chest: Kushala Cista B
Gloves: Kaiser Vambraces A
Pants: Bazel Coil B
Greaves: Kushala Crus B
Charm: Handicraft Charm 3

So I end up with
Earplugs 5
Evade Extender 3
Handicraft 5
Weakness Exploit 3
Non Elemental Boost (For non-elemental weapons) - can be subbed for other decorations if you're running an ele weapon.

both xeno and zorah quest will come out occasionally in your optional list.
last 2 quest before its gone.

Depend on ur playstyle.

You can ignore resistant if you eat veg meal for res L.

Def will come along when u upgrade and augment.

yes, looking good is a must. Really don't want to look like a male stripper when going hunting.

My bow/hbg/lbg share the same set, my trusty vampire set. Only bow got specialized slot heavy dp set, full of 2-3 slot jewel.

With vampire set, if you play melee, you pretty much almost immortal, slugging and trading blow with monster with rocksteady mantle and leech life, and betting who will die first.

There is an app on the Android( and also I assume the IOS) store called "MHW Armor Set Maker". I HIGHLY recommend taking a look at it. SOOO useful in building various sets of gear for different weapons, encounters based on the skills you would like to have.

Anyway, element build seem so lackluster. Even blast build is lacking in dmg. Well, gonna experiment in other build.

Probably just me, if you want streamstone for your weapon, you need to play with another weapon. I got all bow and lbg/hbg hero stone playing like that, want lbg stone, play bow or want bow, play hbg/lbg. The game knew...

Anyway, no upgrade for bowgun while all other weapon buffed. Sad panda.

I saved my rocksteady for carving period. Now, i can use rocksteady for its intended purpose.

You might be right, time to crank out the good ol hammer

Was hoping for changes to the SoS settings but ah well, can't have everything good in life i suppose.

Hi all sifus , recently I just won an USJ MHW from Japan . So I opened a Japan psn acc and downloaded it but unable to patch with my R3 MHW ? Any idea ?

I believe u need to use Jap R2 game to be able to use the Jap DLC code.
