Finally after teaming up with randoms for 40 hours, won against Extreme Behemoth.
I'm a charge blade hybrid balanced tank, medium damage attacker, with full wide range healer.

Yesterday's night situation was starting to get bad where most hosts will just kick me when I joined, not realizing that I'm usually the last one standing & least likely to faint 80% of the time.
*

done with extreme behemoth few weeks back with few known peeps, i just did what usually i did in MMO: healing

i basically made a all-out healing gear, using doki-doki, oni-nitro, nitro and para shrooms for basic buffs, doot doot doot for extra atk up stack and basically just do what people do best in soul series: keep rollin' rollin' rollin'...

the healing items needed to be replenished whenever behemoth changed zones and buffs were reapplied every time i met up with the team. the whole team never did the silly ff tele emo and relied on the boulder so the positioning and buffs are essential for the whole fight

fortunately the whole fight claimed no casualties, and i had provided about 300+ of heals and buffs

Managed to complete Ex Behemoth with randoms via SOS for a second time. This time it was much easier since we didn't had to do any jumps (which can be pretty tricky at times to get the timing right) and we had zero faints. Now looking forward to AT Kushala.

If you are referring to the Wyvern Ignition "Impact", you need to get Wyvern Ignition "Steel" first. You need to get these materials:

2x Master Craftman's Blueprint
7x Dragonite Ore
2x Paolumu Webbing
2x Rathalos Marrow
8,000Z

These are the materials required for forging Wyvern Ignition "Steel". Once you are done, proceed further with the followings:

3x Master Craftsman’s Blueprints (you may want to farm the quest: Every Hunter’s Dream)
2x Elder Dragon Blood
5x Firecell Stone
1x Wyvern Gem
32,000Z

Good luck and have fun!

You're in luck if you play MHW on the PS4. PC guys not so lucky.

The quest "Every Hunter's Dream" will be part of the Autumn Festival Event and it will go live this Friday, 8 am MY time.

Is this game difficult to play? Feel i intimidated to pick this up despite the rave reviews.. i am usually just a casual gamer who doesnt like too challenging game. But i enjoy horizon zero dawn very much ..esp hunting machine. Are both same fame style?

This game is all about 'git gud'. Basically, there is no 'character leveling'. As you progress into the games, the monsters gets stronger but so does the weapons and armor you craft. It maybe abit repetitive, but each situation is different. Nothing is scripted nor every battles are the same. It is all about how you study the monster's attack and how well you use the weapon of your choice. Some play speed, while some play range while others play hard hitters. MHW is considered my first official MH game and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

That is only for multiplayer purpose. I been solo-ing the whole game. You can finish the story mode on your own, no issues, but as mentioned, it requires you to 'git gud'. Studying the monster attacks and how good you are using the weapon of choice. As a casual player, patience is the key. Don't expect a hunt to end within 5 minutes. Expect a hunt to end within 20 minutes(real time) average. Multiplayer comes in when the monster is designed to be multiplayer (such as Kulve Tarroth and Behemoth) but majority of the monsters can be done solo. If you play multiplayer, monster's hp are higher and hope that you get a good team(unless you play with your friends coz 1 person's screw up can ruin the hunt easily), so it is easier and faster if you do it solo. This game really need to take your own sweet time to play. You can't rush in this game. You rush, you lose.

there's not much "story" in the game, the real fun it's in the hunt mechanism & co-op multiplayer

I would suggest you to get PS+ just to try the co-op which is fun

you can complete the story mode in solo but I think you'll feel the game a 'meh'. so I advise you sell brand new and try to get a 2nd hand copy instead just to play solo and then re-sell

it's 'git gud' but not at the level of Dark Souls or Bloodborne.

Guys just come back to this game after 2 months hiatus, and just curious if someone willing to team up with me for behemoth. More or less carry at this time, since I am not familliar with him.

I just soloed AT Kushala and Teostra this last few days, but Behemoth apparently need team. Tried couple of times in Random sos but people including me keep dying lol.

normal or extreme behemoth ?
I would highly recommend play with a tank, it just makes life much easier.

I can play as tank or cluster dps role
Normal behemoth if can be cleared with just 3 players (1 tank with 2 cluster dps).
Extreme behemoth is a totally different beast, definitely need a team of 4.
