Any IG mains here? Which is your best/preferred glaive and augment? Was lucky my first weapon streamstone was for glaive and I put life regen on my nerg glaive. Wondering if should put affinity aug on the xeno glaive and use that moving forward.

Also, been reading some articles, but want to hear your thoughts; does negative affinity means no chance to crit, or does it mean your normal hits can actually hit for lower than normal/0% affinity?

(Positive) affinity is the probability your atk can deal 1.25x damage.

Negative affinity is basically the % chance of a hit dealing less than normal. <1.0 (I’m guessing 0.75)

For Lance, to position and atk properly and consistently is definitely not for lazy play.

For gunlance unless you forgo shelling (which is one of the main selling point). the upward poke with shield.is decent damage. If you include shell type then there are 3 different play styles in general. Wouldn’t classify it for lazy play either

So as long as it's negative value, just treat it as absolute number your probability of hitting lower damage; -30% means 30% of hitting only 0.75 or 75% of your base damage?

yes. assuming all the rest of factor eg. Sharpness is all the same ...

I have been played so many quests, investigations and etc. But my HR still maintain at HR29? any idea?

It's cap until you do the story quest to progress, don't worry all the XP you got is still there

Wrong weapon. Lazy ass weapon is hbg. You basically a turret with 2 shield mod and won't die with life leech. Toaster Supernova? vaal doom breath? kitty nerg dive? kulve lava vomit? kush super wind cannon? you tank it all like a boss and lose very few health. Super long range pierce or cannon n3. Or RNG cannon cheese.

Unless you gone mental and play spread in SoS. You better use melee if you want to play spread. In SoS, using spread is like chasing chicken with wheelchair. Use spread for solo only.

Get ur gold endemic life before the siege ends. There are about 5 gold bugs for u to populate ur 5-star abode.

Damn guild card doesn’t show how many times I break the horns. Or collect the rewards.

Yeah i saw the videos on this. But damn the weapon is just too slow for me. Ranged weapon in MHW doesn't have that satisfaction the way melee weapons do, i can't explain.

I need some advice on getting Anjanath gem for augmentation.
According to the monster field guide, breaking the horn and cutting the tail will increase the chance of getting it.

It mention I broke certain parts when hitting the head, but his horn still seems intact to me. Does that mean the horn is not thoroughly broken yet ?
Mainly using hammer with +2 break parts skill for this particular quest.

I'm farming HR Anjanath with 2 gold reward, time limit 15 minutes investigation.
So far I have killed/captured at least 10 of them, didn't get a single gem.
Wearing Kirin + Legiana armor (mix set) to boost reward.

It's RNG sometimes. Don't forget your daily vouchers or the gold wyverian print at the melder for insta gem.

Try chop down the tail also

Yeah RNG is driving me nuts, I got much better chance with Teostra and Nergigante gem.

I always get Anjanath tail from the carve.
Will try again tonight with my other weapons.


Anyone successfully broke the entire Anjanath horn ?
The horn only appears when its in rage mode.
My current method is hammer (wearing part breaker+2 charm) Anjanath till it falls down then triple triangle at its head, but I always kill it before the horn is totally destroy.

Have you gone to the shrine and pray for Lord RNGesus to be kind to you.

Chop the tail, it will give you the chance to get the gem from it
