You need to kill a tempered elder and get a hero or warrior streamstone then it will be unlock. The drop rate is random though but higher chances on tempered elder. Since there is event going on I suggest you kill tempered kirin then do the Tracking the Delivery for tempered elder tracks, do this a few times and you should unlock some. You can do threat lvl 2 tempered as well but the rate is lower. I grinding my hero/warrior streamstone by farming tempered Vaal Hazak over and over.

Just make sure it's the armor that you will wear for endgame coz augment armor is quite expensive. But you should augment weapon first though and just upgrade armor to max before you use augment to unlock it. I am using partial Nergi set, well at least chest piece is bikini lol.

You can build an immortal set with Vaal Hazak, of course some jewels are needed as well. But your armor should complement your playstyle though and have the skill to boost the weapon of your choice.
Augment for armor only unlock it for upgrading once you have max it.
Augment for weapon you can add HP regen, I did it for my Dual Blades.

I left 1 arena piece to make mine, and some jewels I think.

Gratz, Kirin was hard for me as well, need to hit and run and watch for opening, but he move a lot so hard to get a good combo on him.

Which other dual blade is nice? Currently I am using Decimation Claw, just got another blade streamstone drop haha, so thinking of making another one. Or I could try sword n shield, but practice it a few times in training room, its still not clicking for me.

I have the divine blessing charm III that I use when fighting against hard tempered elders, it helps since they hit hard.

You need Arena 6-9, in sequence is Dodogoma, Azure Rathalos, Radobaan + Uragaan duo, Diablos + Black Diablos duo.
Hardest is Azure Rathalos, but doing with a team mate should be easier, I solo all of them, it was quite a pain haha.

Yes some default weapon and armor.

You can cheese Diablos with the lance, but it will takes about 20m though.

Higher rank, tempered elder, tempered monster, augmentation all are after story, so yeah it's pretty much farming.

Apparently not a lot of them uses dragon attack, I think Deviljho breath is considered dragon attack, not sure if any of the other monster actually uses dragon attack.

Well they did farm their way there, I farm a lot of investigation while my HR is still cap, so when I finish story I straight jump to the next cap which is 29, once that done I was 40+, when Tempered Kirin was done I was close to 60. All the XP that you get while your HR is cap accumulate, so the more you farm the more it accumulate and the faster your HR jump up when you unlock the cap.

Tempered Jho have higher drop rate at the moment, I farm mine from Vaal Hazak, pretty much spam the Tempered Vaal Hazak investigation that I have, I was lucky though, got it on 4th or 5th kill. They only drop from Tempered investigation btw, threat 2 and elder if I not mistaken, Tempered Elder and Tempered Jho have higher drop rates.

Yeah Vaal Hazak easiest Tempered Elder for me too. I am now using longsword and dual blades, depends which one I feel like using.

Kirin move too much and too small to hit sometimes, Odogaron move too much as well, but if you abuse Foresight slash this dog become quite easy.
Bazelgeuse, I don't like fighting this fella, for melee it's always a risk going in due to the bomb it drops, and god it really like to come disturb hunt by roaring and carpet bombing lol.

I am pretty good on Azure Rathalos with dual blades if you need help on that, having 6 flash pod with dual blades helps a lot on Azure Rathalos.

Imagine I solo all of those haha, but it wasn't bad, I learn dual blades while doing it lol

Flash pod nerf, fighting Doara and Azure Rathalos will be a pain, with how often they fly up. Good thing I never flash Nergigante, Teo or Vaal much, except to prevent them getting them back to lair

How long the encounter is depends on the group as a whole and how much progress they made. I don't think I have any that actually goes for an hour.

As for another group breaking the horn, it doesn't matter, if your group is still fighting Kulve when that happen you can still continue and break the horn, unless you fail then you will only get the rewards that you claim from the Hub lass.

If I not mistaken the reward you claim is the same for everyone, if the other group broke the horn and the reward is at the highest level then the rest will get the same. I remember having that happen to me once or twice, when we fail to break the horn and another group completed theirs, so we just claim the rewards.

I actually join random group a lot, hmm nvr been in a team that is that bad, the most is at area 3 they don't lure Kulve to the stalactite. Most doesn't sleep bomb though, that require a more co-ordinated group. And most doesn't do life powder or whatever, I have wide range on my armor so when I heal, I heal them a little as well.

I have finish farming the event, got both Kulve armor and also both layered armor. Weapon wise not all of it are worth getting it seems, so kinda lazy to farm them now. Back to farming tempered tier 2 and 3.

I got lucky with a double gems reward and that was the last 2 gems I needed. Yeah weapon are too random, even with max rewards, you get bunch of rarity 6 and 7 only, that happens to me like 5-6 times in a row. Got a decent dual blades, SnS and bow, longsword that I got isn't that good compare to divine slasher, so pretty much done with the event. Probably run it once in a while before it ends just for fun.

I always join a 14/16 session, this ensure plenty of people are running it for faster progress.
As for pursuit level, I will join even if it's a level 1 if the other few groups that are running higher pursuit won't return anytime soon, I mean it still helps out in the progress. By the time I finish and join the next run it would be at higher pursuit
