wah, same idea, to troublesome to change mode for thicknessing every time.
which brand did you get? i think original was metabo. then few uk brands rebadge it. and mine is einhell

Mine is einhell too. Not much choose in Malaysia unless you want jifa brand. Jet is too big too expensive.
The original fence is flimzy and not flat so I clamp a flat wood from ikea's dismantled furniture to make the fence flat.
Usable lar but eventually I will either mod it or change a proper 6 inch jointer from china.

Loud as hell machine, 95dbA. I hate the blade alignment. Pain in the ass.
Thats why I want to get spiral head.

kind of overkill to use these machines to s4s pallet woods... tongue.gif

jet is good! can take much harder woods like white oak and walnut.

but as u said, spiral cutter is the way to go when it comes to noise

anyway time u start using "nicer" woods for project. nyatoh is pretty good to do woodworking with.

Saw this new Bosch 18V vacuum in Tmall, its made in Malaysia. rclxms.gif
I wonder when it will be on sale here?
Attached Image

I like the way it empties the load, a lot easier to handle and less messy.

Tmall 11.11 promotion

Worth it?

Macam futuristic design.

I m still looking for a more silent handheld vacuum. Now alot in the market. But all are loud noise. Only the Dyson is more quiet. But price is crazy. sweat.gif

That cordless dremel advetise very confuse. The price is 2 set or 1 set in 2 different model ? The price too cheap to be true.

Futuristic design make you look cool on the site. rclxms.gif

For the cordless dremel, price is for 1 set only tongue.gif

Example:
Dremel micro model 8050N18
You pay 100 yuan prebook fee upon ordering before 11.11.
During 11.11, the selling price will be 629yuan.
Your prebook fee is worth 200yuan actually so on 11.11 you pay the remaining amount of 629-200 = 429yuan.

So the total you paid for this cordless dremel is 529yuan.
Which is about rm350.

I think they will also give you some gift like apron & eye protection.

A simple search in lazada shows Dremel micro at RM530.
No need to fight like dog for lazada voucher. devil.gif

Does not include shipping.
Some items, you can use their official shipping partner. (lazada, 4PX etc)
Btw expected delivery is 15 days after final purchase.

i only bai 4ah battery

3ah is kinda alang2 cos it has the 4ah size

at least 2ah is compact size

now they are going towrads 6ah with the same size as 4ah but a bit too expensive for me. they are like 2x the price of 4ah

i'd rather get 2x4ah than 1x6ah

oh btw, 4ah batt is rm 210 nett

Very likely it comes with slow charger to cut costs so I would put the charger at lower price.
maybe rm100.
Battery is 3AH so base on 75% price of 4Ah then it will be about RM160.

460 - (100+160) = 200.

Good price for a vacuum that is a good upgrade compare to the current one.
1) Modern look
2) Dual filter
3) Easier dust dumping
4) Comes with soft hose, I can use this to connect to my circular saw when doing outdoor cutting.

Air transport from taobao should costs about rm20.

This is what you get inside the package

Wall drilling:
Do you need to drill into concrete? Then get a rotary hammer + drill driver combo, else a hammer drill will be good enough to get you started.

For woodworking:
What type of woodworking you plan to do? Assembling ikea furniture doesn't count, its call screwing around only. tongue.gif
What type of wood you plan to use? Plywood? MDF? Pallet? Pine?
Where do you live? does machine noise will cause problem to your neighbor?

Spotted the new GAS 18V-1 on bosch singapore site and i think its around SGD90 solo. Already have the old GAS 18V-Li so won't need this....

anyway bought the GAS 15 PS...haven't use it yet...plan to make use with the small cina made cyclone for sanding. Couldn't find the dust attachment for the bosch jigsaw...anyone knows where can get that at reasonable price?
