Normally we compare earnings with the same quarter for last years. This is because some stock are cyclical in nature. Give you an example, for eg, consumer product industry earnings will increase during CNY (Jan, Feb) season, earnings will be higher in these seasons.

Just entered SWKPLNT 5135 for low risk high reward bottom fishing trade, 1.7 should be taken out to propel to 1.8 area. With a 10% target should be quite conservative in view of high earning performance.

I am queuing up to top up on Poh Huat and YSPSAH. Poh Huat is rising slowly whilst YSPSAH is being bashed down.

Also queuing up for Sunway and Luxchem. But looks like no chance. the prices are rising too fast! Sunway has gone up about 7.5% whilst Luxchem has gone up about 4.3%!

IMHO, if you are just buying it to goreng and have holding power beyond T+3, then OK.

But for long term holding, my answer is no. SUNWAY's Price to Sales, Trailing P/E, and Forward P/E multiples are all significantly above (more expensive than) their 5-year averages.

when the index is red and your portfolio no change or green, you know you have a resilient portfolio to weather the storm.
