Noob here, is there a way I can get an email on the quarter report of the company of my choosing as soon as they are out? Or at least get notified that they are announced. Feels like really a waste of time having to check for it everyday when the estimated announcement date is closing.

Just check 2 months after quarter end. Example, 30 June results check on 31 August. Confirm quarter report released unless the company in serious financial trouble.
US Stocks is taxable 30% + Market inflated by the FED
I prefer HKex no taxes only small fee sell & buy -/+ 8$, and more clean and understandable if you do charting, and most of the listed companies has a big history

If your question is about US based companies. You can use the RSS feed on the SEC website to get notifications when a new report has been released. If you want to get emails you can use a service (free) like IFTTT (https://ifttt.com) to set it up to send you a email.
i am relocating from USA to Malaysia. Does it make sense to open the accounts in IB, E*Trade, TD Ameritrade in advance while i am still in possession of US physical postal address and phone number or i better apply when already settled in Malaysia?

Hi Mitch, definitely get it set up before coming to Malaysia. Serious Pain i am suffering from setting it up. Keep your USA bank accounts open too preferable.
