Just got news that construction for Cold Storage is kicking off soon right next to McDonald’s Sendayan. The site is already being fenced up, and the “Cold Storage Coming Soon” signboards are in place.

At the same time, it looks like fencing is also being put up for the Econsave project located between Hijayu Aman and the McD roundabout.

Quite interesting to see two very different types of hypermarkets being developed so close to each other. Cold Storage clearly targets the T20/atas crowd, while Econsave is more for the general public. Definitely going to serve two very different market segments.

Cold Storage is also to target those from S2 "atas" areas too... Pull the crowd from there....

Econsave is pulling from Mydin / AEON???

Econsave was never in that two places. The nearest Econsave is near Forest Height and Lukut.

What I meant is they trying to capture the existing crowds that currently buying at Mydin or even AEON..... Could be some shift after Econsave opens...

Yes in that case it will. As of now Sendayan residents are flocking to Mydin/Aeon and even Lotus's for their complete household grocery shopping. Cold Storage and Econsave will serve all groups of residents.

more commercial shoplots coming up

Too many commercial shoplots already, and some areas still have vacant units due to not strategic placement of shoplots.

Sendayan need more proper govt amenities like more schools, police station, fire station and more road access.

The junction across Masjid Sri Sendayan being the intersection of traffic from Sendayan - Nilai - Techvalley and PD is getting overly congested during peak hours. As well as the road from Suriaman towards Gadong during morning peaks. Road access also needs to be improved.

The first small sized hypermarket is opening up at BSS. TF Value Mart is opening at Metropark beside Pizza Hut/Petron.
