Check my today's post. CS basically admitted that VoLTE will not be enabled for legacy plans. Basically Celcom forcing everyone to postpaid RM80 minimum to be able to use this basic necessity after disabling 3G later.

be patient. once 3g shut down, they have to open to all. u cant have millions of users suddenly cant make phone calls. sweat.gif

Yes. I already mentioned yesterday that seeing this is how Celcom is treating old accounts, I do intend to wait-and-see until 3G shutdown before deciding what's next. Today chat twitter only revealed more to what was insufficient response to yesterday's request.

Though I'll not be surprised if Celcom punch lower "you can still make calls on 2G".

You have option of XOX and Yoodo, both are reliable MVNO if not for being dependent on Celcom's network trouble.

BUT, I'm not sure if they inherit Celcom's fucked up plan-dependent VoLTE.

Hmm. Im using Huawei P30. I do recall seeing volte wording on my Umobile before. Just switched to Xpax Lite. Do i need to ask them to enable the Volte from their side?

Currently don't see the volte for the whole day. Lol

You have to beg from them. Some success, some fail. Good luck.

not sure desktop OCS still provide option to manage unsubscribe "voicemail" add on.

but you'll never know if self-manage is working or not in actual backend.
for confirmed outcome, call 1111 ask CS to do it.

KUALA LUMPUR (April 8): Celcom Axiata Bhd, a unit of Axiata Group Bhd, is merging with Digi.Com Bhd to create the biggest mobile service provider in Malaysia, according to sources familiar with the telcos.

This time round it is the merger of the operations in Malaysia, unlike the previous mega-merger plan that Axiata and Digi.Com’s parent Telenor had previously tried to merge the operations in Asia region.

It seems real this time, press con will be held this afternoon.

i now worry about digi offerings. the only thing good about celcom is coverage; plan-wise celcom is very stingy and expensive.

Not good. Not good.

If i call 1111, they will ask IC and what else, then immediately shut me down because line's registered under mum.

Cannot cross state line.

Ah that's another problem then, I guess you can only either wait or report to MCMC. sweat.gif

I seriously doubt MCMC knows the dirty business trick that Celcom is doing right now.

If they were to force me to get their stupid expensive plan just to enable VoLTE, then I would've just tell them to F off and port out, luckily they decided to enable for me on Xpax Lite.

I'm not surprised if more dirty tricks will come when they launch 5G soon, but then again, we consumers can port out any time.

Customers on the other hand, will benefit significantly from the merger, as the merged company will have the capacity to invest even more to provide better quality of service and at competitive rates. Customers also will be able to maintain their choice of mobile operator brand, as both Celcom and Digi brands will continue as is post-merger.
