QUOTE(kit2 @ Jan 1 2021, 11:48 AM) everyone is crazy over volte...when 3G is no longer in service, voice will still be served by 2G. No? It's not "crazy" over VoLTE, it's just more people are starting to know the importance of it...Better call quality, internet connection won't be disrupted during phone calls, battery life won't be drained because it maintains at 4G instead of switching back and forth to 3G This is a tech from like 7 years ago, people should've went "crazy" for it from the start (when YES started to launch it here back in 2016), but then not much awareness was given so many didn't really care until recently, basically Malaysia is very late to implement this old tech completely. I seriously doubt you would want to use 2G for your voice calls, and that's probably not something that the government wants you to be using for your daily needs anyways cuz some tech stuffs like older card terminals etc. still need to rely on 2G, that's why the government is aiming for 100% 4G coverage nationwide in populated areas. powerwoot liked this post

Hi everyone
I just registered to MNP from Yes to Xpax XP Lite M plan via website and waiting for SIM card to arrive, but I just saw one of the notes from the website stated that need to call CS to proceed with MNP upon receiving the SIM card May I know is it necessary to call the CS or can just do it via the app? Lol Celcom Twitter CS only know makan gaji goyang kaki is it? Just want to enable VoLTE on my Huawei P40 but seem reluctant to do it for me and sending me bunch of FAQ that I already know.
My god. EDIT 1: Gave up on Twitter, gave CS a call and they initially said it's only available for Postpaid Mega plan but then I said other users had the same issue but then problem solved after calling the CS, CS then only helped me checked with the technical team and told me to wait within 24 hours, if still cannot then call them again. What the heck. Is it really that hard to enable something simple like VoLTE? EDIT 2: After a short while, just received SMS that VoLTE is enabled, VoLTE finally showed up after I refreshed network by turning on and off airplane mode. QUOTE(haturaya @ Feb 7 2021, 06:07 PM) Dang... I ask them to enable my VoLTE on twitter without any problem. Straight forward request and they did it without any fuss. Probably got served by a newbie staff handling Twitter CS, cuz she didn't even ask for my personal info which they need to verify for my account and to enable VoLTE from their side. Double dang Celcom... have to beg for VoLTE. But then what she did was asking bunch of generic questions and copy pasting FAQ as if I don't know how to enable VoLTE settings on my phone lol, she also tried to ignore my questions and kept me waiting for like almost 30 mins until I asked further whether if I should provide more info in order to activate it, then she responded with a stupid answer like "We would like to know whether if you enabled VoLTE setting on your phone" when I already made it clear. After that, I straight ignored, just fed up lol. Kudos to the CS via the phone though, at least she was professional enough and forwarded to the technical team as soon as she done all the verification process. Btw, I think tech sites like LYN or Soyacincau should call out these telcos for making something simple become so complicated lol, VoLTE is supposed to be seamless and works right after you insert the SIM card, it's not even "exclusive". QUOTE(KCY3701 @ Mar 17 2021, 09:02 PM) I would say don't waste your time on Twitter and just call their CS instead, at least they're quick in response and able to reach their technical team quickly, the staff on Twitter might treat you as if you don't know how to enable VoLTE on your phone and ask you bunch of dumb questions. QUOTE(Keatsan @ Mar 24 2021, 09:49 AM) Just wanna clarify, VoLTE is only available to Postpaid Mega plan or.....any postpaid plan? You should tell them that you know other users got their VoLTE enabled and they're on a different plan, that's how I got my VoLTE on Xpax Lite.I'm still on Gold plan RM80 and my phone is S20FE 5G. I called Celcom CS, and was told that ONLY Mega plan has the VoLTE option. I need to know if anyone else had VoLTE enabled with any other postpaid plan. Celcom is just trying to trick and lure as much people as they can to hop on the Mega plan by making it seem exclusive before they're forced to enable VoLTE for every users, I seriously hope nobody is falling for their stupid dirty trap. If they try to trick you, trick them back, because VoLTE is not exclusive. |

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Mar 31 2021, 11:51 AM) Already enabled, but they are trying to make it seem "exclusive" for Mega postpaid customers. You can try to contact their CS to get it enabled if you're using a different plan, just remember to insist that you want VoLTE because others got it enabled on a different plan too. |

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Apr 6 2021, 12:35 PM) I feel like @Celcom treating long-time customers like dirt. They are using this VoLTE and 3G switch off as precursor to force their customers to move to much more expensive plan. Unacceptable. QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Apr 6 2021, 04:28 PM) THIS is throught twitter chat, as advised by others in here. was asking for my mother's. I don't have access to the phone, but it should be a samsung. the plan is either legacy Blue 45 or legacy Blue 48. Now I know why my wife's Samsung S10+ also don't have LTE.option altogether. Because she is also on Blue 48. I REALLY want to yell "f*u". QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Apr 6 2021, 04:38 PM) not under my id. i'll give them some time until 3G switched off. If they really want to force it dirty, make decision then. Now I wonder if other MVNO under Celcom can have it enabled without much fuss regardless of plans. F* VoLTE dependent on subscribed plan. Truly world's first. QUOTE(karteh @ Apr 6 2021, 04:38 PM) QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Apr 6 2021, 04:47 PM) As mentioned in the twitter chat above, Celcom wants you android postpaid users to be in MEGA then only will enable VoLTE. The CS staff that attended you seems to have no idea what he/she is talking about, this is why I hate this kind of staff, have no idea but then treat customer as if customer is clueless, what a waste of salary tbh. That a bump from RM45/RM48 to minimum RM80. And remember. Unlike other operators who already included SMS, all of Celcom's newer charges 20¢/sms. I already ported away from Celcom. Not even a prepaid with them any longer. Now just want to enable VoLTE for mum and wife. I think you can try calling 1111 for their CS, sometimes its easier to interact by talking instead of typing. From my experience, I got fed up with their Twitter CS (some here were lucky cuz attended by different staff), so I called them instead and got it enabled for my Xpax Lite M postpaid plan, if they weren't willing to enable it for me, I would've probably either resort to MCMC or just port out. At first they might say it's only available for Mega postpaid plan, but you should insist that you know others that got their VoLTE enabled and they're not even using Mega plan. It's better not to show curiosity like asking which plan is entitled for VoLTE etc., because we as consumers know that VoLTE is not something exclusive and should've been enabled for everyone regardless of the plan. Basically Celcom is trying to lure as much people as they can to hop on the Mega plan for VoLTE before deadline, pretty cheapskate and dirty trick I would say, no one should fall for that. QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Apr 7 2021, 02:36 PM) If i call 1111, they will ask IC and what else, then immediately shut me down because line's registered under mum. Ah that's another problem then, I guess you can only either wait or report to MCMC. Cannot cross state line. I seriously doubt MCMC knows the dirty business trick that Celcom is doing right now. QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Apr 7 2021, 02:39 PM) Check my today's post. CS basically admitted that VoLTE will not be enabled for legacy plans. Basically Celcom forcing everyone to postpaid RM80 minimum to be able to use this basic necessity after disabling 3G later. If they were to force me to get their stupid expensive plan just to enable VoLTE, then I would've just tell them to F off and port out, luckily they decided to enable for me on Xpax Lite.I'm not surprised if more dirty tricks will come when they launch 5G soon, but then again, we consumers can port out any time. QUOTE(One_Nomi @ Apr 18 2021, 08:34 AM) They may say it's the same, but it's managed differently.I've experienced more downtime and issues on Yoodo compared to Celcom, sometimes the connectivity may be weaker than Celcom too, and it's in the same area. You can still opt for Yoodo if it's because of their cheap plans, but don't go for it just because of it being "Powered by Celcom", might as well go for Celcom instead with their Xpax Lite plans. But then, I wouldn't blame Yoodo for being inferior, otherwise no one would opt for Celcom if both offer the same quality of network.
