QUOTE(vineshl @ Dec 30 2024, 07:30 AM) Good morning, everyone! I’m looking for some expert advice or suggestions from anyone who has set up a 3-storey house and figured out the best deco or setup for optimizing performance. Well, using a cable to connect them all would be the best if possibleI understand that factors like wall materials and layout play a role, but I’d like to hear about the most effective setups that have worked for others. Here’s my current setup with Unifi 500 Mbps: • Ground Floor: Router connected to a TP-Link M9 Plus mesh – Speed: 500 Mbps • 2nd Floor (Middle Hall): TP-Link M5 mesh – Speed: 100–150 Mbps • 3rd Floor (Master Bedroom): TP-Link M5 mesh – Speed: 10–30 Mbps (sometimes even lower) Has anyone researched or implemented a more efficient setup? I’d love to hear your insights. Thanks in advance! the M9 is great as the main node as it's tri band however, the M5 isnt so the 3rd one is probably going from m9 -> m5 (1) -> m5 (2) because the m5 isn't tri band, there's quite the speed penalty of connecting back up wirelessly Also consider removing the ISP provided router and connect the M9 directly to modem |

I’m looking for some expert advice or suggestions from anyone who has set up a 3-storey house and figured out the best deco or setup for optimizing performance. best thing you can do is to connect the 2&3 floor nodes directly to the ground floor m9 using lan cable. I understand that factors like wall materials and layout play a role, but I’d like to hear about the most effective setups that have worked for others. Here’s my current setup with Unifi 500 Mbps: • Ground Floor: Router connected to a TP-Link M9 Plus mesh – Speed: 500 Mbps • 2nd Floor (Middle Hall): TP-Link M5 mesh – Speed: 100–150 Mbps • 3rd Floor (Master Bedroom): TP-Link M5 mesh – Speed: 10–30 Mbps (sometimes even lower) Has anyone researched or implemented a more efficient setup? I’d love to hear your insights. Thanks in advance! otherwise, can try replacing both the m5s with m9 which will let them use their triband efficiently. if you are want to future proof your core, can consider getting newer triband nodes which might be tad bit costly than the m9s. |

I’m looking for some expert advice or suggestions from anyone who has set up a 3-storey house and figured out the best deco or setup for optimizing performance. Why not install FTTR (Fiber To The Room) like what TIME is offering right now. Then you can use all your DECO connect to cable as the M9 that connected to router as MAIN. My home setup (double storey) Home Office (Router and ONT) - > LAN CAT6 tarik up into ceiling -> DECO X60 (main) + Switch --> LAN CAT6 tarik down to down stair --> DECO X60 + Switch. All my DECO are in Access Point Mode and my ASUS Router as Gateway. For FTTR you can watch about it at Pendakwah Teknologi Youtube "Internet Laju Seluruh Rumah dengan TIME FTTR"I understand that factors like wall materials and layout play a role, but I’d like to hear about the most effective setups that have worked for others. Using the admin username, I was able to upgrade the firmware only through internet, not manually.
After that, still Easymesh is not available. Is there any other way to unlock the AX10 firmware? QUOTE(EdwardCCL @ Dec 13 2021, 10:40 AM) |

Have you tried using the WPS button pairing method? After that, still Easymesh is not available. Is there any other way to unlock the AX10 firmware? Just set your main router to broadcast the WPS signal out, then on the receiving node/router that you wish to pair with, press or hold the WPS button until both of it establish a link through wireless, if successful, you can try backhauling with ethernet cable to see if it works. |

Anyone using Deco X50 (V1) please avoid firmware V 1.6.3/4
Major bug issues with the current firmware as it will break the internet connection functionality. Suggest to stay at 1.6.1 while waiting Tp link engineers to fix the problem. The newest feature channel selection added to X50 just broke everything else. https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/736386 EDIT: Tp Link engineers has done a check and found out that it was the DoH/DoT Secure mode function that is causing the wifi breaking bug issue. Did not work.
Just "Timed Out". Pressing the satellite WPS button too long, turns off the wifi. Tried pairing using Add Mesh function. Also Timed Out. Tried looking around in DevTools (F12) in Chrome. I don't what to look for, so nothing happen there. QUOTE(Omochao @ Jan 18 2025, 01:04 PM) Have you tried using the WPS button pairing method? Hey guys,
Getting TP Link BE400 router to pair with Astro fibre. What's the setup process ya? 1. Setup PPPoE 2. ISP settings: Maxis 1/2? Any other custom settings that I may need to take note on? Thanks in advance. This post has been edited by PsVitaForLife: Feb 14 2025, 10:35 AM |

Hi everyone
Just managed to get HyppTV back running after switching over to X60, unfortunately the 'stream' will disconnect after a while with the image of a PC with a red X on the bottom right of the screen. A change of the channel usually resolves it, but it is annoying when watching sports...anyone able to help? Thanks in advance.. |

Hi. I am currently using c3150 router. Now my unifi is 800mbps. Router is placed upstairs living room. (Middle of the house). However my room downstairs (far end corner) only received Iike 10-20mbps when I do speed test there
Just checking what kind of router or extender would you recommend? Household of 6 person. Mainly streaming 4k movies and ps/pc gaming. |

Single router cannot provide 800Mbps reliably throughout the coverage area If you have the budget, definitely Deco BE65 and above Deco XE75 is a good value choice |
