Dear sifus, I just bought a new C3150 from Lazada. After setting PPPoe with the correct Username & Password still it doesn’t connect to the internet.

Do I need special firmware to get it working ?

Read Blacktubi reply and enable TM Unifi VLAN settings.

Thanks a million Blacktubi and Silent Vampire. I got it to work. But I only get like 200+ mbps on wireless and ethernet cable. My BTU is a Huawei HG8240H

** I’m turbo-ed to 800mbps recently **
*
Try with a different RJ45, preferably Cat6, and click the link on my signature and read all the info there.

Hi, is this means archer c20 (AC 900) only can support up to 100mbps via WiFi?

I just been told that I got the unifi turbo upgraded to 300mbps, but the speed test result is just 8x.xx mbps
*
Of course, and the C20 only has FE ports, which means that it only supports up to 100Mbps on the router LAN ports. Click on my signature and read everything theee, and change your router.

A thousand apologies, just a quick question. My connection via ethernet cable reaches about 700mbps. While my connection via wireless can only reach 300mbps. Is it normal?

Device: IPhone X & MacBook Pro
Router : Archer C3150
*
Yes. Click the link on my signature, and read everything there, green text. Your device needs to be able to support the speed as well, and wireless have many overheads.

Does anyone experience TP-LINK Archer C60 v2.0 / AC1350 rebooting issue?

I'm using this router for my Unifi, but experience keep rebooting issue, and i tried to change back to old TM router, so far no such issue occur, yet...

Anyone know how to solved the rebooting issue?
*
I would suggest changing router to something better. That has no gigabit ports, and it is very limited on the hardware side. Click the link on my signature to see recommended routers.

But my Unifi only 50mbps, my condo not fiber optic installed..... the router is Unifi compatible but seems like got rebooting issue....
*
Ah, in that case, you wil need to be a new router. Sounds like the router is no longer performing optimally.

I have a question. Searched around got mixed answers:

I just got turbo-ed 500Mbps.

My double storey house is three phase powered. 1 dB box.

now my room upstairs plug is connected to blue wire, whereas my router downstairs is connected to red wire.

So. Will the powerline TL-WPA8630PKIT works?
*
Not possible, sounds like they are on a different circuit, and I would not recommend powerline. Get an expensive router that has superb wireless coverage, and refer to the link on my sig, to see list of compatible routers.

Yes, of course.

Hey bro.. i've bought the C3150, setup was easy.. with LAN cable plugged in my laptop i got close to 500Mbps.

but standing infront of the router, my huawei p20pro speed test i got:
5ghz : max 180+- Mbps
2.4ghz : less than 100Mbps

what may be the problem here? is that normal ?
*
Set 5GHz to AC only, channel width to 80MHz, Channel 152 and try again. That is normal though, at least for 2.4GHz as it is very congested and full of interference. Try that setting for 5Ghz first.

around the same speed <200 Mbps with the settings above.  hmm.gif

i tot i can get at least 80% of the 500Mbps thru 5ghz / 2.4ghz  dry.gif
*
Your device must support it too, bro. Huawei is only 2x2 MIMO. See here: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4658454

There are limits to wireless speeds, so you can’t expect too much.

Note8 also is 2x2 MIMO. i am using C2600 manage to get 500Mbps.

Really hard to say why that is. Probably Samsung has better hardware, and uses better antennas. Too many variables to consider.

So what can i do now? Request to change another Archer C60 router? claim warranty? or topup $ for a better router?
Only bought this from Ookas for 3 months tho.... sigh.... cry.gif

I'm hoping if got some settings or tips can solve the issue will be the best...
*
Topup for a better router. Get a new one, gigabit router. I recommend C7 v5 or v4, or see my signature for list of recommended routers, and other general info.

Note 8 is the confusing one. My note 8 always max 866mbps so its 2x2, but i swear i saw it connect at 1300mbps just a few times on certain routers (maybe due to 1024qam)...

QUOTE(SHOfrE3zE @ Sep 24 2018, 11:44 AM)
anyone using TP-Link Archer C7 AC1750?

My connection is currently on UNIFI 500Mb/s using TM fiberhome modem (latest) connected to the TP-Link Archer C7 AC1750 v4 router.

Currently I'm having problem getting more than 100mb/s speed on both download & upload with the said router. Called the TM tech to drop-by my house and checked all the settings and still he can't figure out the problem. He tried with a D-link router and he can achieve 500Mb/s without problem so it must be my router.

Anyone knows the solution for this?

Hi tp-link,
Appreciate your reply
*
Powerline disconnect as you are not in the same circuit, and there is interference on the electric line. They can’t help you.

Then why promote it as 600mbps capable? 😰
*
It is promoted as 600Mbps, for the most optimum speed you can get, in the right conditions. In other words, marketing BS.

C9, of course. Make sure you get V5, which is the newest version.

Hey guys, anyone facing this issue where you suddenly lost wireless connection  but wired connection is fine, I am using tplink C5 given by TM. Whenever i need to restart my modem and router if necessary, I realized that it will lost wireless connection after some time, so I need to restart again everything only then it will go back to normal, meaning I will not lost wireless connection out of sudden.
*
Probably interference if you care connecting on 2.4GHz.
