Hi,

I've just bought the unit and I was told by the shop (All IT) that it does not need the router for the connection. Now TP-Link saying otherwise and my current TP-Link router also has issues that the 5G connection is not functioning. So shall I return this Deco M5 and get another wireless router?
*
Hey bro, I would recommend the TP-Link AC3150 v2 if you are planning to return that and get another wireless router.

hi everyone, just installed TIME in my new penthouse today and it come with a free Huawei modem and tp link router. unfortunately, im only getting 3 bars of the wifi signal inside my room. the modem is placed slightly outside of my room only.
need recommendation on a better modem or router. sorry i dn hv the model with me right now as im in office
*
Bro, I am sure that it is the TP-Link C1200. If you want something good and high-end that have excellent wireless coverage, I will recommend the TP-Link C3150 v2. Otherwise, if you want the ultimate router, which is quite pricey, I would recommend the Asus-RT86U.

erm, how bout the powerline extender? will that work or will it slow down the speed like wifi extender?
*
I wouldn’t if I were you. It can be hit and miss, as it is using your electrical wiring to carry the signal. Change to a better router and you will be happier for it.

hi, do any know how to set up the TP-LINK TL-WDR8620 router?
*
Why did you even buy this router lol when there are so many other local options available? This router looks to be only for use in China, and therefore the configuration might be a bit difficult. You have to do it manually.

QUOTE(Alex9182 @ May 3 2018, 01:04 AM)
how come this model not found in Malaysia TP-Link website, also all Lazada listing for this model are China seller.
*
That is because it is only available in China.

I have TL-PA4010 KIT installed with my TIME 100Mbps connection and I am getting 50Mbps - 60Mbps speed on my extended unit with cable connection at my desktop.

May I know if this is speed limitation on TL-PA4010 or it was due to my power circuit that fail to fulfill the max speed from the ISP?

Does upgrading to TP-LINK WPA8630 will help to maximize my cabled connection at my desktop?
*
I am more inclined to say that it is due to your power circuit, and not the powerline. But, in saying that, the WPA8630KIT is one of the newer models that could probably handle electrical noise. Best thing for you is a direct connection or get a better router with stronger wireless signal.

Thanks for the feedback. With 2.4 GHz I am getting full 50Mbps speed when connected to the extended device but when comes to cabled connection it goes to 60+Mbps only.

My house is newly build house and I don't do much power thus I believe it's 1 phase circuit.

I am confused as TL-PA4010 spec describe it could handle up to 600Mbps.
*
It is just a theoretical number and you won’t ever get up to that speed. Transferring data over electrical lines is very difficult as electrical lines are very fickle and can affect the data transmission rate. I have suggested you switch to a better router or get a wired connection. It’s up to you to either do it, or just live with the reduced speeds.

Bought this wifi pci-e card from China, i wonder why TPlink Malaysia didn't bring in?
*
Could be compatibility issues p or the fact that they don’t bother concentrating on the market here.

Hi TPLink Malaysia, i need your technical support here.
I am using TPLink Router Archer C1200 (provided by TM Unifi)
On the back panel, it has only 1 USB port, but i wish to connect Printer & HDD together via using a USB Hub.

Technically, is it possible to "share" the 1 USB port by using USB Hub, and then connect Printer & HDD together?
Becoz my result was failed, Printer can be detected, but HDD cannot be found.

-I am sure my HDD, USB Hub are no problem, becoz when I just single connect the HDD to router, it can be detected. But if connect through USB Hub, then it fails to detect.

Just change to another router. I recommend the TP-Link C7 v4 which has TWO USB 2.0 ports, thus solving your problems.

I don't think there is compatibility issue, i'm using it right now, much better than USB type.
*
They might not be too keen on releasing it here then. Incidentally, is your router still available by any chance? My brother in law bought them a TP Link C3150 v2 so I don’t need to buy them that anymore but I am interested to explore the latest Archer C7 v4. I have the C7 v2 but have flashed it to DD-WRT for use as an AP in the future. TM official firmware for the C7 v2 Malaysia is too old.

Hi TP-Link Malaysia,

There is a semi-faulty problem for the TL-MR6400 wireless 4G Router. It automatic disconnect internet connection after 1 or 2 hours.
At first, I though it is the network issued based on the telco service provider. But when I swap the simcard to another router, no issued at all and continue streaming the video and browsing the website more than 3 hours..

Got call to TP-Link Malaysia call center, request to me arrange postage direct to Plaza Lowyat there.
But TP-Link Malaysia can request pickup service from my doorstep here? (Just like asus have provide pickup service from customers)

By the way, I purchase from Lazada. But seems like don't want to take responsible for it and request me direct send to TP-Link service center.
How should I do? The packaging box is quite big one.
*
Where did you ge it from? Maybe contact the seller on Lazada. Not Lazada themselves.

Ya, I got contact to the seller already.
They say arrange postage the faulty to their stores.
Haizz..  cry.gif I though it will be like asus service which will pickup service from customer's doorstep and delivery it to the service center.
And all the shipping cost will cover by that company itself.
It's more than 14 days already.. Almost 1 year realize that is a semi-defective for that device.
Damn, need to spend the postage fees send to service center there.. mad.gif
*
Postage fee is not that bad. It is between RM10-RM15 as you say the box is quite big, and that is the standard price for PosLaju.

Just done for the postage.
I realize that their TP-Link email seems like nothing feedback at all.. already send out on this Monday 04/06/2018.
But until now nothing respond from them.
*
You have to call them. I called them and got a friendly guy, but you are right about their email being unresponsive. That’s really sad, as their products are not too bad, but support needs to be improved.

Hi guys, I just bought the TP Link Archer T9E Wifi Card. In device manager it shows the wifi card is working but it's not able to detect any available wifi connections at all. Upon searching online, it seems like this card does not work with Windows 10.

Anyone else using the same card? Please advise and verify.
*
It does work with Windows 10 now, as the new driver is released. Please check the official website here before commenting, and download the latest driver here: https://www.tp-link.com/my/download/Archer-T9E.html#Driver

hi guys ... mine also same, auto restart. its from TM as welll but diff model : TP-Link Archer C5 , AC1200 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router. my unifi package is 2 years contract, this model first year doing fine, then auto restart happens second year, so whether is it still under warranty. other than that sometimes facing weak wifi connection and wifi DC. im still under contract

this modem router seems not cheap around RM300-400, GG lo
*
It is not a modem router, it is just a router. The price is honestly standard for a decent router. Most good routers start from RM500 onwards lol. If yours is the C5, it should be alright and better than the C1200. Is it in the latest firmware?

Just keep in mind that once you update, you will have the ‘@unifi’ on your SSID that you can’t remove.

I don't mind ...but does it solve the auto restart and weak wifi connection issue ???

my unifi is 50mb package , my wifi connection speed as follow

2.4ghz I get 3.5mb to 6.5mb, if ok then 9.0mb or 11.0mb  this one sometimes dota also lag, happen second year contract but first year really good.
5.0ghz I get 18.0mb to 29.0mb or 30.0, if good then 43.0mb or 44.0mb to 50.0mb    use for near the modem or short distance, if in room will be very weak and dc.
*
I think I know why your weak WiFi problem is happening. You do realize that 2.4GHz is very congested, and full of interference? You won’t ever get a good connection with 2.4GHz, and 5Ghz has a shorter coverage than 2.4GHz, so you need to be near the router, or at least have a device that has high gain antenna. Download a WiFi analyzer on your phone, or on your computer, and check the wireless space in your area, ane change your wireless channel accordingly. If you want to game, having a wired connection is recommended.

As for the auto restart, it could be your router issue or router PSU isssue. I don’t know if it will solve your problem as I don’t have the router myself, sorry.

See here: https://www.blacktubi.com/guide/make-any-ro...-work-on-unifi/

Use VLAN621 for Internet, instead of VLAN500 in the link and you will be connected.

Hello buddy .. any idea how can i get firmware that support unifi for my router WR841N. I just recently update from tplink malaysia website but somehow after upgrade there are no option to configure as unifi user. Seems like patch firmware was for general country. Verify that tplink url was from malaysian website.  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

current firmware version : TL-WR841N(UN)_V8_170210
*
Just manually tag VLAN500 for Internet and VLAN600 for UnifiTV, and you will be sweet.
