Hi
I just setup my deco m9 however im unable to connect my chromecast to it. It says it cannot communicate between the cast and my iphone. Any workarounds?
*
Any settings to disable wireless isolation mode? You have to explore the settings.

oopps sorry. realized cheapest unifi is 100Mbps. WR1043ND should be ok, right?
*
Should be, but without 5GHz AC, it will be very hard for you to hit 100Mbps on 2.4GHz N.

Don't think the router froze, connections to internet are still OK for all devices - they just dont respond to pings. Overheat, not so sure ... may have to check this out. Can't seem to find the firmware download for this model. Where can I download a copy?
*
Don’t respond to pings? Could be a security feature then. Check settings to see if internal ping features are disabled.

Can't be a security feature as when the router is restarted, I can ping and all devices will respond. After a short while, they will fail to respond to pings. At the same time all are still connected to the internet with no issues. Very frustrating. Wonder is Maxis will be willing to replace the router if I call them with this issue.
*
Sounds defective. Call and ask them and see what they does.

Hi, would like to seek assistance. I just bought a C3150 TPlink router. The LAN connection will be dc-ed every 1 hour and resumed back. Is it due to setting issue? Thanks.
*
V1 or V2? Update to latest firmware and see if it continues to happen.

any 1 can help to find a proper driver for window 10?

i tried all the drives available on the support site already, still couldnt get its connection changed to 802.11N

*
Nope. The antenna that comes with it is enough, unless you have a bigger than average house.

It is enough. You don't have to change antennas on the C7.

Hi, can I configure ExpressVPN on Archer C1200 (by TIME)?

Thanks.
*
Nope. You need a router that can support VPN setup, and it will cost some money. The minimum router you need form Tp-Link is the C2300.

Ah, new firmware does support it. You can try if you want. Make sure it is v5 though. It is a good router.

I purchased a TL-ER6020 for our small business, but having trouble with setting up WAN. Our Unifibiz uses PPPoE, entering username and password couldn't get it connected. Please help

Looks like you have to manually tag VLAN500. Did you try doing that?

Unifi business? You mean using all ports for Internet? Just manually tag all port with VLAN500. Done.

Click on the downward arrow on the Mode tab, scroll down to the bottom, and click 'Custom'. Input 500 for Internet VLAN ID and leave the rest blank, and make sure LAN1, LAN2, LAN3, and LAN4, are all selected as Internet. Done.

QUOTE(ReginaJune @ Nov 18 2018, 07:54 PM)
@SilentVampire

Hi SilentVampire, could you advise me which is a better model of WiFi Router between D-Link DIR 842 and TP-Link Archer C1200 ?

I have a unit of both of these model and are deciding which one to use at my home Unifi 100 Mbps, stability is an important factor for me, such as able to last for a long uptime without the need of occasionally on/off the WiFi Router.

Both devices are around the same price, and both models are AC1200 lower-end budgeted Router WiFi and competing against each other directly.

According to blacktubi.com review, the D-Link DIR 842 wireless performance is tested actually faster than the TP-Link Archer C1200.
DIR-842 comes with 4 ext antenna while Archer C1200 comes with 3 ext antenna.
Archer C1200 has a more solid exterior material built than the DIR-842.

The DIR-842 comes with the MU-MIMO support while the Archer C1200 does not. However, DIR-842 lacks a USB port while the Archer C1200 comes with one USB port.

Thanks in advance.
*
Hi bro, did not see your tag cuz you did not tag me correctly lol. Anyway, I suggest DIR-842. It is better than the C1200, and more stable, and will be a huge improvement over your current old RG router. Enjoy thumbup.gif
