The point is that they never give u 1 year and 2 weeks warranty, they gv u 1 year warranty only

I got my phone on 4may and warranty expiry is 17may? So is about 1 year n 2 weeks? I had posted earlier on screenshot on my warranty

since you're being so technical and all, so how come they initially SMS the warranty out stating 4/5/2017 to 17/5/2018 and now its cut short to 29/4/2017 to 12/5/2018?

and also again, how can you get warranty for a product that you have not unboxed yet?

I don't game or use intensive apps, I expect a lot more to be honest. Saw a lot of people can get 6-7 hours SOT. Mine just half of that. Standby time not that good oso.

Auto brightness, GPS on battery saving, AOD on, data and WiFi half half, sync on, a lot of useless features such as edge lighting turned off. I was expecting a lot more cuz exynos should be battery friendly. But that's not the case atm.

Actually ur phone still haven't learn your usage pattern and if u didn't touch the optimisation setting ur phone will start to put ur less active apps to sleep as default is 3 days.btw like velocity said,it depends on users,u can never achieve 6 hours sot if you don't stare at your phone for 6hours a day.unless ur work is depending on ur phone then u might get ur "expectation" result.just use and enjoy ur phone to its max instead of scare of batt drainage,the phone also charges twice as fast.

Assuming 2hrs 45 mins on with 50% left. By the time reach 0%, 5.5hrs SOT.
If 100% on wifi perhaps average or not that good, if with current state mixture with 4G like 30-40% wifi, balance on 4G consider pretty good.

1. Regardless 17/5/2018 or 12/5/2018, according to @velocity email, they did make it very clear it is an additional warranty.
2. The warranty is for shipping period, so the warranty already started when they send it to dealer, of course it is even before u unboxed (y so difficult to understand?) Samsung already say it is for shipping period…)
3. They never commit to give you 1year 2weeks warranty, they give u 1 year warranty only, the "additional" is meant for shipping, DO NOT MISLEAD people in forum with the statement that "samsung warranty always come with 1 year and 2 weeks, nothing to do with shipping period."
4. Imho they can revised the warranty period as long as they are giving you a full year warranty, Samsung never say they are giving 1year 2weeks warranty, right? The additional period is meant for shipping! Not I say, it is Samsung's reply to @velocity. Stop telling 1yr2weeks story otherwise people will start asking why my warranty is not 1year 2 weeks why I am having 1 year 1 week and why I got 1year 3days, etc.

Dont be misleading by people, as long as you have 1year warranty, the rest of the extra days is bonus (additional period) to you not I say 1, it is according to Samsung)

Sure, no problem to have additional warranty, just enjoy the bonus period~

I am trying to say that Samsung never COMMIT to provide 1year 2 weeks warranty, so the 1year 2 weeks is not a MUST! but when we got it early, means we enjoy the additional warranty as long as we got at least 1 year (as per Samsung email)

btw, why the whatsapp images that we received, when open it, its always zoomed in..

so annoying every time wanna look at an image received have to double tap it for it to return to normal size, then tap again to hide the menus...

For me less than 1 month already sold my gadget.

So no worries on the warranty period as long Samsung provides 12 months warranty that is enough.

no la, i have no issues with it. Just dont like it when such thing occurs.

regardless, its still 1 year and 2 weeks the warranty period that they gave. 29-04-2017 to 12-05-2017 is still 1 year 2 weeks, same as 04-05-2017 to 17-05-2017, 1 year and 2 weeks.

The issue that I raised up here was never regarding the 1 year and 2 weeks period, like all of you as long as its 1 year as stated in B&W im fine.

Now where my issue is, is why did they have to backtrack the date 5 days earlier. The reason of "shipping to our dealer", what kind of reason is that. Never have I purchased an item that the warranty activates even before you unbox the product that you're purchasing.
