Thanks a lot for information.
By the way, if I were to buy and sell on the same day, besides paying the 0.05% intraday charges, do I still need to pay for normal brokerage fee charged of 0.05% or 0.08% as well?

Thank you.

No.

That 0.05% will be your brokerage rate for intraday transaction.

Hi, I am new to Rakuten Trade and share investment.

I bought some shares under contra account this morning. Do I need to pick up shares if I have enough money in my contra account for my purchase? I can see my shares under "Outstanding" tab but there is no pick up button.

Any possible issues if someone withdraws large amounts (e.g. RM 50k) out in a single transaction from Rakuten ? I mean with respect to Bank Negara, LHDN etc.

Or is it better to keep within the RM 30k threshold (or lower) ?

May I confirm whether my understanding on RT contra account is correct?

I saw the FnQ mentioned that cash is 100% collateral in contra account, is it mean that we can place order using just enough cash, rather than we need to have 30% buffer using cash account?

Once the order using contra account has been matched, then we need to do some setting to top up the cash that being collaterised in contra account within 2 days, otherwise RT will sell the stock.

Is it compulsory to use multiplier in contra account? It allows unit holder to buy more stock if currently they do not have sufficient money, just top up the money within 2 days. The multiplier is based on the allowable multiplier value stated in the respective stock. The amount that the unit holder can place order using multiplier is based on the cash value already in the contra account and the allowable multiplier value.

Anyone having problems selling stocks lately?

Yesterday morning as the market opened I made a sell order and it was instantly matched. The order was shown throughout the entire day so I thought it takes a while for the money to be available in my account.

However, today when I checked, the order wasn't there anymore but the money still isn't available in my account. Even the daily trade statement/invoice PDF was already available. I tried contacting their whatsapp but it shows 1 tick.

Anyone got similar experience or knows how to get help?

Why do you need 30% buffer for cash account?

Cash and paid shares determine your collateral value. The share you buying will have a multiplier of 1x 3x 5x depending on the counter itself. Paid shares depending on type of counter have different collateral value. You can find more on this info from their website. You can have 0 cash but holding a few paid shares and still make purchase on multiplier as those shares also count towards collateral. In case you never top up for stock pick up, RT has the rights to sell the contra shares and even sell your paid shares to cover if the contra is at loss.

In cash account, I experience few times it shows exceed trading limit when I place order even I have sufficient money to buy the stock. I read on another forum that cash account need 30% buffer, so not sure is it true or not.

But contra account if not using the multiplier still can place order with just sufficient money.

I place order yesterday 6pm after the stock market close
Today I check my order status no trace of order log
Money also gone.
Call customer service, say will get a call back, didn't receive any call.
Did I miss something??

Update

Ops my mistake, don't know how stock market work.
Selling stock and receiving cash takes 2 days
So basically I bought using my account trading limit
