yes it should be simple
alcohol is easily evaporated
if alcohol is cooked, it lose its chemical properties that can make poeple mabuk
also small amount that not making people mabuk then ofcourse la not haram
anything any chemical is harmful at certain level
any chemical can be addictive, can be intoxicated, can be lethal at certain level
any level that can do that is ofcourse haram la
its not like any 1% alcohol in anything also haram
do we view alcohol like we view pig's and anything small thing from it as haram?

even pig have small amount needed to be in some vaccine for people going hajj is permissible

rule of thumb is if youre unsure, it is not halal

i got friends who no issue use cooking wine cause they knew most of the alcohol evaporated

but i also got friends who die die wont use cause the ingredient isnt halal in first place

Whatever you eat, whatever that goes into your mouth isn't that big concern... Most important is you must have good kind loving heart.

In TCM, chicken meat (and eggs) are prohibited if the person is coughing.. am not sure why.. something to do with the hormones (and chemicals??) inside that can promote the coughing qi (or virus or bacteria..).

Feel a bit sad.

Why your Mel*yu friends always end up eating KFC??

I think eating too much of it is not very good for health.. first heatiness.. secondly fast food.. and last.. the hormones inside are not good if you had weak lungs..
*
i agree that its not a healthy food choice. On the hormonal side mine elaborating what hormone u mean n what do u mean weak lungs. If its peptide type the frying would have denatured it, I'm interested to know more about weak lungs. Do u mean asthma, diaphramatic paralysis, or what and how any denatured hormones can cause it
