QUOTE(mrfarhatadib89 @ Aug 10 2017, 09:14 AM) the phone size is to big for average consumers they already have other model with 5.7 inches for average consumers. There is tonnes of phone at 5.7", take them if they think this phone is too big. Just my 2 sen. xiaomi should made it 6inch max with minimum bazel. if the size is 5.7inch im sure they will win the market This phone is for those who wants a mini tablet. |

Just my 2 sen. Agreed... a bit big.....This phone is for those who wants a mini tablet. I have Note II, HP9Plus, Asus Memo Pad 7.0 and surface..... this lies between P9Plus and Memopad, scare of drop using one hand. Try to fix in the car as GPS and infortainment console..... |

QUOTE(Eddy924 @ Aug 8 2017, 12:53 PM) More of personal preference, buying with lazada official Mi site for peace of mind, but outside seller claiming they are original too, I rather wait for online purchase delivery can agree, bec we really hv no idea, like what u imply, whether the authorised seller is really an authorised seller whereby warranty is cover by xiaomi, since we never read anything that xiaomi is now embark on selling their phone via dealer or reseller or whatever off line. personally i prefer to buy from whoever that could offer a lower price, if term is similar.i still deem rm1199 is on the high side compare to china and india pricing. thus ap set still remain a option. caveat emptor of course. |

Hi, I for those who bought the Malaysian model, I would like verify if the Malaysia model retains its TD-SCDMA bands? Written in the manual/box/settings maybe?
Coz I'm looking to use it for frequent travelling to China. ALSO, is the gold model officially here, or only AP? Thanks! This post has been edited by 00007kel: Aug 10 2017, 11:11 PM |

It's available for RM1,099 on Qoo10 with a coupon discount. Yes, MIUI is getting fatter and bloater, hopefully the MIUI 9 is slimmed down significantly as they promise. This post has been edited by Cynox: Aug 11 2017, 09:12 AM |

QUOTE(Cynox @ Aug 11 2017, 09:09 AM) from Mi. HK web site: Thanks for the response!2G:GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz (B2/B3/B5/B8) 3G:WCDMA 850/900/1900/2100MHz (B1/B2/B5/B8) 4G:TDD-LTE B38/B39/B40/B41 (窄带 100MHz) 4G:FDD-LTE B1/B3/B5/B7/B8 Black is international version. Gold only for China I think. Yea, I noticed the discrepancy. Frequencycheck.com does not distinguish china from global model. Similarly, Xiaomi Malaysia listed Network Compatibility as: GSM: B2 / B3 / B5 / B8 CDMA: BC0 UMTS: B1 / B2 / B5 / B8 FDD-LTE B1 / B3 / B5 / B7 / B8 TDD-LTE: B38 / B39 / B40 / B41 TD-SCDMA: B34 / B39 Thats why want to verify with someone who owns the phone at hand to somehow check. I've asked Xiaomi but they did not answer me. |

Found out that supported bands will be written at the label at the back of the box.
Could an owner of the Malaysian model kindly check for me please? it should write TD-SCDMA somewhere if it has that. |

UPDATE: Managed to take a look at the box at the shop, and find that the Malaysia model does not support China 3G... Only China 4G.
Now I would like to ask the inverse, does the global rom China import model support local malaysian 3g & 4g with no problem? This post has been edited by 00007kel: Aug 12 2017, 01:44 PM |
