QUOTE(TheMrBinary @ Jul 27 2017, 09:32 PM) Do note that this is an import set and not official Malaysia Xiaomi set. So warranty a little more complicated. But it's almost RM200 less and you can get it within next few days. Not sure when the official set will land in bolehland. |

QUOTE(laguna1811 @ Jul 28 2017, 10:39 AM) finally local set is available for pre-order this price is very dinamic. One day you see at 1099, next at 1049 then at 1009, now back to 1099. I asked at the thread and the reply was due to Lazada special promo that allowed them to sell at reduced price temporarily. So whoever is lucky will get at the cheaper price.how do u get rm1009? i see rm1099 hmmm now i wonder if i should wait for 128gb model and dunno will it actually come or not lol... not planning to use sd card anymore haha |

QUOTE(fishmango @ Jul 28 2017, 11:07 AM) Agreed, I would also hang on to my Max 1 if I own one now till the next upgrade. But the Max 2 spec, reviews and performance is really compelling value for money, if you don't mind the size. If fact am looking forward to it's larger screen. |

This is the third day I'm using this new toy and must say this is the best smartphone I've used to date. The size (6.44in) is not really that big. Can easily slip into my pocket. Doesn't weigh that much too. Must say the battery life is really #1.
What I like: Battery life - no longer have to hug the wall plug or carry a powerbank arond; Screen size - super crisp and nice to watch movie and read ebook and browse; Speed is responsive (don't play games so can't comment); Speakers - definitely stereo; it's awesome, just love the clarity especially when in landscape mode. Don't know why, but in potrait mode it's I think in mono. What I don't like: The regular USB connector /charger port is no more - now it's replaced by the newer Type-C connector; gosh now I can't share a cable with all my other android device. Guess it's for the better as newer devices will eventually have this port. |

QUOTE(adie82 @ Aug 5 2017, 08:50 PM) Yes, it's really good when companies do not over hype or over claim the benefits of their products and then under deliver. Oh yes, one more thing I really like is the Second Space (available on MIUI8), it's freaking awesome. It's like having two phones in one!! And it works so smoothly too. Also another thing I like about the MM2 is the finger print sensor. Didn't expect it to work so well, fast and smooth. It's so easy to set up too. Allows multiple fingerprints too. Note you do not have to use your thumbprint, any finger will do, so the sensor location at the rear of the phone is great. And yes, if you use Second Space, can use different fingerprints to log on to different Space from locked screen of from off mode. No need to double tap or switch on to log on straight to the desired Space. This works even if you don't have Second Space. For around RM1K, it's really what I would call "Cheap n Good"!! |

QUOTE(Eddy924 @ Aug 6 2017, 09:26 PM) do u mind share some picture taken with Mi Max 2 Camera? Some review claims its outdoor low light pic very terrible, its seem like far from acceptable quality? I'm not so much into photography, so my shots my not be a good representation of what the camera can do. Anyway just snapped a couple of night shots of the Penang Hill area.TQVM Attached thumbnail(s) |

So far I've bought 4 Xiaomi sets. The first one was mi4i from Mi Malaysia set. After 2 months phone cannot make or receive calls. Brought it to Amcorp Mall for warranty claim, paid RM5 for parking and had to wait for about an hour to submit the set as there was a queue at that time. The centre don't only repair Xiaomi sets but also for other manufacturers. So can call Xiaomi specialist ka?
The next day received a call from service centre to collect set back as not under warranty due to water damage. I thought, WTF set never kena water or caught in rain how can water damage. Centre staff said can happen one. P*K*M*. Had to pay another RM5 to park at Amcorp Mall to collect my set back. Next set Redmi Note 2, used for >2 years without a hitch. Bought AP set from DirectD. Still working fine, except that battery about to kaput di. Next set Redmi 4 Prime, also AP set, also from DirectD. Almost a year now, set is beautiful. Latest set MM2, also AP set. Bought online. Second month now, am loving it. Fingers crossed will last at least a year. Othewise, I consider still worth it as the savings is more the the premium price I would have to pay for the PKM Mi Malaysia set that don't honor their warranty (in my case anyway). For for those who think that Mi Malaysia > than AP set, think again. |

QUOTE(vignaroli @ Aug 25 2017, 08:59 AM) same experience like me, mine is xiaomi note cost me about rm1500. the power button got problem and keep restarting the phone suddenly when i was reading news on my phone. no chance to back up at all because the power button never gv u chance to press any command it will just restart the phone infinitely. +5bring to xiaomi service center, the technician check for few days just told me there is no sign of me break the power button so should be under warranty claim. But he have to write a report to headquarter to get approval before he can proceed to repair my phone or otherwise he have to charge me labour cost rm28 + powerbutton cost rm100++. So i opt to wait for the so called head quarter approval. end up 2 months the phone in the service center yet still cannot get the approval according to the technician. visit the service center few times inside the 2 month period....end up after arguing with the service center they only agree to waive the power button but still have to charge me rm28 labour cost. after that i have no faith in xiaomi malaysia warranty, infact i just choose the cheapest price no matter is ap set or original set when i looking for xiaomi phone. |
