Hi, I for those who bought the Malaysian model, I would like verify if the Malaysia model retains its TD-SCDMA bands? Written in the manual/box/settings maybe?

Coz I'm looking to use it for frequent travelling to China.

ALSO, is the gold model officially here, or only AP?

Thanks!

from Mi. HK web site:

2G:GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz (B2/B3/B5/B8)
3G:WCDMA 850/900/1900/2100MHz (B1/B2/B5/B8)
4G:TDD-LTE B38/B39/B40/B41 (窄带 100MHz)
4G:FDD-LTE B1/B3/B5/B7/B8

Black is international version.  Gold only for China I think.
Thanks for the response!

Yea, I noticed the discrepancy.
Frequencycheck.com does not distinguish china from global model.
Similarly, Xiaomi Malaysia listed Network Compatibility as:
GSM: B2 / B3 / B5 / B8
CDMA: BC0
UMTS: B1 / B2 / B5 / B8
FDD-LTE B1 / B3 / B5 / B7 / B8
TDD-LTE: B38 / B39 / B40 / B41
TD-SCDMA: B34 / B39

Thats why want to verify with someone who owns the phone at hand to somehow check.

I've asked Xiaomi but they did not answer me.

Found out that supported bands will be written at the label at the back of the box.
Could an owner of the Malaysian model kindly check for me please?

it should write TD-SCDMA somewhere if it has that.

UPDATE: Managed to take a look at the box at the shop, and find that the Malaysia model does not support China 3G... Only China 4G.

Now I would like to ask the inverse, does the global rom China import model support local malaysian 3g & 4g with no problem?
