Went at 2.15pm and out by 3.10.
What a breeze..
But they said today was an exception...

Ya man..
The new myvi is actually an option..
Wait for it to launch then make ur decision..
Between a 1.0 and a 1.3, it really depends on where u drive the most..
1.3 is a better all rounder car: meaning that it can do long distances in a pinch..
All the best in getting ur car!

The new myvi engine is the same as our bezza right?

That's what I read on Paul Tan's blog.

I have the advance model. The car is three weeks old. But the sway really dangerous even on the straight stretch of road the car suddenly sway either left or right.Do they do balancing and tyre alignment from factory or do we need to do our self?

That was quite fast you are driving. You cant feel the sudden sway? Quite tiring driving highway for the long haul.
*
Strong winds perhaps?
I remember at certain stretches there's strong winds right?

And yes it gets tiring to always correct the car's attitude..

i havent driven the bezza long distance yet, but the short stint hyways in kl/pj/klia didnt seem to be a problem...

had a chat with a tyre alignment sifu who does his job the manual way (he does lots of jobs for race cars) and he said there are ways to counter the 'tracking of the car's attitude but he's also concern about the cars warranty of the power steering that might be an issue...

anyone encounter that?
i haven reached the 2nd service,
question is whether SC checks the alignment or under-carriage of the car?

No..
It's nothing to do with power steering but more to do with the weight and the tall nature of the car..
Acts like a sail..

Have to pay more attention when driving lor..

Man is imperfect..
An imperfect man cannot make a perfect product ..
BMW, Mercedes, Maybach, Rolls-Royce, Lexus, infinity, perodua, proton all have problems...
Audi with their dsg are not strangers to problems..

Samsung, apple, xiaomi oso have problems..

Accepting this thought will bring less disappointment for a start and a clearer mind into a negotiation for warranty and compensation..

Having said that, a clear note must be sent to manufacturers that we paying customers are not alpha or even beta testers..
Testers get to test products for free..
Some even get paid to test..

Is bezza's 1.3cc and kembara 1.3cc speed almost the same?Or bezza is more faster?Kembara at 80km still very slow. My usual route is about 40km.It takes 1hour to reach my destination using kembara.
*
My experience with the kembara and the difference with the bezza is that the rpm on the bezza is lower..
At 8okmh, bezza 1.3 enjin is turning over at slightly above 2000 rpm..
That makes it a more relaxed drive.

Wait..
How do u guys judge your kmL?
Do u judge by how many km on the trip odometer divided by how many litres for a full tank of gas?
Right?
Or u read the kmL on the average counter and or the current kmL counter (that changes as according to your pedal position)
?

So what is the purpose for the front sencors? Is it only to detect pavement when parking or also will beep when get to near to another car bumper?
*
I use it when collecting parking ticket or when approaching parking entrance/exit sensor with card.
I've hit the curb in the other car many times..
Haven't paint the other car's front spoiler and it embarrassing..
Hahhahaha

But that's about it for me..

Hey, maybe I can share some tips or encounters for you or others here...

smile.gif

The real time meter really helps to have a glance on how much fuel is being used at that moment and situation, but don't get too distracted and stay safe! Cheers
*
Excellent write up!
And embarrassingly I didn't know can reset the average fuel counter..
Lol

but will the armrest affect our handbrake area? as i see in my friend's car after he installed it the handbrake is kinda difficult to reach..
*
Had a car that the armrest could rotate out of the way..
Yes the armrest affects the ease of reach for the hand brake..
In the end, left the arm rest tilted up, out of the way of the hand brake lever.
Thanks for reminding me.. Lol
I think if resting one's arm especially in long drives on hyway, that arm rest is important..

Now on a road trip with the bezza.
Before, I was just ferrying around town.
Yup, the car sways abit when above 130 kmh when passing lorries or busses. Just have to be aware and ready for it. But it's not that bad.. (in my 35 years of driving, worst was on a tall bridge over a bay with high winds)
Done during dry conditions, tire at 230 kpa front and 215 rear.
Did about 100km of B roads thru kampungs and small towns..
Optimum speed for me here is 60 kmh. And I'm driving alone.
Here, in these conditions, I find that the gearbox shifting to 4th at 60 kmh and the rpm dropping to 1k+ is a disservice...
Really powerless to climb even a small hump... Hahahah
So, I just manually drop a gear and the car hums along in 2k+ rpm, right in the power band and makes for better driving experience along the B roads.
When I reach 80 kmh, just pop it back into D mode.. (Depeche Mode) {I'm that old.. A hahaha}
Needs another gear or a 6 speeder like the VW Polo autos.
With manual selection even sweeter!
If we're not speeding on the b road, then the car steering is nicely weighted, power to weight (kg) for a single driver, just nice, at my tyre pressure, ok comfort with the suspension travel and dealing with road unevenness.

Other than the 4th gear ratio at 60 kmh, I found out that the 1st gear launch with pedal to the metal, (trying to get to the opposite side of the road in a 60 kmh b road) to my horror, there was no power! Luckily the on coming traffic knew these situations and slowed down..
Phew..
I feel the way perodua programmed their ecu for 1st gear fuel feed is dangerous..
Have to manage my expectations when launching in 1st gear from now on..
Anyway.. My impression for extended B roads and high speed hyway drive in the bezza.
Thanks for reading. Hope u find this useful..
Cheers..

so the armrest is not recommended?  brows.gif  hmm.gif

If u do alot of hyway miles and don't use the hand brake much then it's a great thing to have..
But in town or unless u just use brake pedal all the way the ok lor..
I use hand brake at traffic lights, so it's a hassle.

sifu, any advice to the car battery if the car is not being used for more than a month? probably due to oversea working and nobody else to warm up the engine?

Just unhook wire terminals to the battery...

I can't break my habit of driving fast...
If there's a bunch of cars driving faster than average, I'll be one of them..
Not including the ferrari, lambo etc.. Lol

So I was doing about 120 kmh on the Federal Highway early morning Sunday when I reached the curve around pj Hilton towards subang when the car driven steadily thru the curve started under steering, transitioning to a 4 wheel slide at the end of the curve when I lifted off the accelerator pedal..
Luckily it was towards the end of the curve else I'd have a meeting with the barrier..
Caught me by surprise..
At 3300 km, still learning the limits of this car..
FYI

try not to too fast downslope. bezza kinda light and if the road condition bad. it will bouncy. You cant brake in time.

I almost heart attack one time going down hill sudden brake. Dah lah bezza tyre pressure is 250
*
Thanks for the heads up!

My tire pressure :

230 kpa front
215 kpa rear..
