I did. Now I am using Bridgestone Potenza 195/50/15. The shop took my original rim and tires for RM 450. Fuel consumption did come down a bit to about 17-18 km/l which led me to believe that F/C still depends a lot on driving style and conditions, not much on tire sizes. But the car is more stable now at high speed on the highway. Not much difference in the level of road noise tho'.

Waaaahhh!
I'm only getting 12+km/L with stock standard tires..
Lol
Mainly town driving.

just out of my curiosity....why opt for manual transmission? hmm.gif
*
If when driving on off peak times, the manual is damn fun man..
Quite a few sports car manufacturers offer manual option for their cars, especially in the euro zone..

My time with a 1992 saga with 1.5 manual was often in the red line and the engine 'trained' to rev freely..
Alot of people commented why my enjin is lidat..
Training..

Then, having the best gear for that particular corner and with anti sway bars..
Priceless..

But now I'm an old man..
Reaction time has slowed..
Memories of past glories..
Timeless...

Same goes with soundproofing, at the end of the day if you are successful in reducing sound here and there, you will 'find' that there will be 'louder sounds'.

*
Totally agree..
My qualm now is the tire roar..

I noticed that the person who did my front end was not to my expectations..

That'll be stage or phase 2..

More into comfort than engine or road holding performance..
Tho I miss them at times when needing to speed up..

Awesome write up on your technique in sound proofing..
My salute!

Ps. Afk? Gamer huh? Lol
A free kill...

does the recommended tyre pressure (sticker on car door), make sense? 290kpa?
*
Mind boggling and tooth dropping experience..

But it's 250 kpa .. No?

Mine is now at 220 front and 210 rear..
Km/L takes a hit tho..

But then again, the car rattles much much less

220/210 on original tyre?
*
yes
ecopia

might go up to 225 front and 215 rear

test on those "red" lines that are pesky speed bumps...

at 250 it was really bad imo..

Oh..
By the way..
If I leave the car gear selector in neutral instead of park, the 1st push of the button, I can play the radio without the dashboard lit up like Christmas tree..
Try it..
Works for me..

Won't work when selector is in park tho..

That pipe for aircon is aluminum, so cant corrode.. but its a good thing to put thick black foam cover along the pipe.. haven't did mine but many people already did..
*
Ya man.
Just like the coolant pipes at home where they insulate it with black foam tubes to maintain the cold temperature before it reaches the heat exchanger/blower in the cabin.

Yah sorry it is 250, since it is recommended, if we don’t follow will it affect the fc or not
*
Yes it'll affect the km/L
Measure it with a comparison of different kpa/psi against your driving style and see what you are comfortable with..

PremX user here..
So far it's ok..
Sound proofing is definitely on the low side.
Have to manage your expectations on power delivery and have that economy fuel savings..
I once got 10.5 km/L due to a rushed few days of work and stuff..

Have a test drive to see if it suits u if u are to spend wisely..

This somewhat of a car I expect from this price range and am happy with it..
