owh didnt know got this common problem, juz got my oled switch last week... been connect wifi since then to download games from eshop, no problem no error until today keep poping out the server communication error

so what dns should we set for switch? i already set the google dns in the wifi router, need manually set again in switch internet setting?

update: i set google dns in switch internet setting, the same error still pop up after 10sec

Can try lan connection? If already with dns also problem, then can be issue from wifi router or NS itself.

help, i cant access eshop.

i tried changing my region to us/eu/au, but all failed.

is there anything else i could to?

Make sure you do it thru PC or phone instead Console. For fast solution, Google is the best way.

Hi guys, new Switch user here. What's the best way to buy games from the US eShop? Can I use a Malaysian credit card or is it better to buy prepaid credits from Amazon?

If I can use a Malaysian credit card, do I need to use a "fake" US address?

Q1. Best way is wait till got offers. Can use credit card, debit card or paypal. I personally use BigPay to buy before no international admin fee charge.
Q2. Only required US postcode. If want tax free, just google US Tax Free Zip Code for NS.

Malaysia NS just launched but yet to see digital game from https://www.nintendo.com/my/ but at least good news.

Stick to US eshop because there are parallel portal such as Amz, target, walmart etc.

It will more likely to get discounted game.

Hi guys,

I traded my v2 unit to Oled unit today.
However I noticed that the there's only 480p & automatic for TV Resolution settings.
Even when docking, the display on monitor is on 480p.
When it was on v2 dock unit connected to the same monitor, there is an option for 1080p and 720p.

I called Maxsoft today and it seems like it was the first time they heard of this issue and just asked me to try to reset/initialize the switch again, which I have done multiple time but still got the same issue.

I also tried the suggestion here https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/com...ue_when_docked/ but still no dice.

Any of you guys encounter this issue?

Try dock into other TV to test out. Make sure TV settings correct. Restart TV after changed settings. Else no choice to claim warranty.

Apparently it's the monitor.

Tried on another older monitor and the 1080p options appear.
Retried on the previous monitor, the options dissapear again.

A bit weird since the older monitor is at least 5 years older than the previous one but since it's working I'm not going to complain.
At least can confirm the dock and Oled unit is not faulty.

Could be the monitor HDMI port not in good shape/damage or dirty by dust. You can use contact cleaner to clear up the port or use those soft toothbrush too if required.

OLED goes for RM 1499, one shop I know sells for lower but it is on the condition you buy a selected set of accessories so still money out the pocket.

Hi everyone. Im planning to get a Switch Lite, therefore some things bother me.

1) I know there is two types of warranty, official Maxsoft & import set. Planning to buy the Maxsoft. So will I able to play any region physical game like US, AS, EU?

2) Does US & AS have any different other than region release on their name?
