Anyone use Baseus type a-c cable for their Switch? This cable is recommended for Huawei phone 2.1A output.. If i understand correctly (I'm not tech savvy) means this cable can only maintain the battery and cant charge while playing right?

Check digital foundry / eurogamer review on this.
A few factors like depends on games you're playing and are you charging while off screen or while playing

Read back previous version of this thread: any cable that end with USB-A type connector can only deliver 5V 1.5-2A maximum (2A depending on capability of your powerbank/charger and if your Switch is capable of "handshaking" that power delivery request from that power source). Power delivery capability drops to the lowest denominator, the USB-A connector in this case, capable of 5V1.5-2A max. Source? Me. Did an extensive write-up on charging the Switch and the go, even my recommendation got picked up as the best possible powerbank and external third part charger outside of Nintendo, and that was posted in the previous version of this thread. Not gonna repeat that here again.

If there were any power consumption readout report I'd trust, it'll be from Anandtech, not that Digital Foundry article. http://www.anandtech.com/show/11181/a-look...r-consumption/2

Basically if I don't need to charge on the go/as i play, any 2A USB wall plug + USB Type A - Type C cable should do the job for charging the Switch, right? hmm.gif

the UK power plug for switch is humongous for travelling, planning to use my slim type phone charger if it works.

Charging while off = any USB charger can. Even the USB port on your PC can do it.

Charging while sleep mode = at least USB-A charger. Delivers up to 10W if you're lucky.

Charging while playing = depending on load (what games you're playing) you may get away with either maintain charge or slow charge. Any heavy loads like playing Zelda or Fast RMX, you need a USB-C to USB-C charger with Power Delivery profile or the official charger from Nintendo.

Check my post history. I've posted the recommended powerbank and external third party charger capable of replacing the official Nintendo AC charger.

Greetings, I would like recommendations on where to purchase a Switch console, I am based in Penang and I have 2 other friends looking to purchase them as well. Not really interested in forced bundles, which is what most of my local stores are doing, hence why I am asking here biggrin.gif

you'll have little choice if you're getting the official console locally

almost all are selling the official Maxsoft set in a forced bundles

If really wanna console only, then you'll have to look for the imported Japan set which has no warranty, best bet will be hunting for it online

Would suggest to look in this forum's garage sale as well. There is a few selling new and used unit cheaper than the forced bundle.

Mine is fine. Looks obvious when from menu screen,720p and enter mario kart game, 1080p.

Try go to switch settings & select 1080p instead of auto.

I've read online that pc monitor has issues. And most are getting the same problem as well.

Try not to dock it and use handheld mode. Then restart the system. After done go to settings>tv mode>pick 1080p. Then dock it and see if it works. Not sure if it works for everyone but some say it works.

I can just say look around sites or twitter on when are they getting weekly shipment for bigger shops. or you can try your luck in smaller shop. actually both really need luck.
there might be bigger shipment than usual during arms launch week, so if you're there during that week, the chance getting it will a bit higher. I recall during mk8d launch week, stores that usually do lottery for switch didn't do so.

knowing how shitty nintendo do business most likely they gonna release an update to block use of thirdparty controller. If can i wish my ps4 controller can work on my switch. Dont think of buying the super expensive Pro controller which cost RM100++ more than a ps4 controller.

All I can say is, "F**k you Capcom". You hold your "support" hostage with the requirement of your overpriced bullshit called USF2:TFC to "sell well" before you consider supporting the Switch. F*ck you, Capcom.....f*ck you.

Hashtag #F*ckCapcom, after that last #F*cKonami bullshit. These Japanese companies are so out of touch with their own demographics, it's frustrating and ridiculous.
