I'd think it's region base.. but probably not.. cuz Nintendo

Just using your statement as an advise for everybody, didn't know it will offend you so much.

They want to earn your money, you can buy them without any problem, until you have a problem that you need them to solve, good luck calling the US customer service. They don't have a live chat too. Similar to PSN US, almost everybody has a US PSN, few months ago, some accounts were hacked, from changing password to randomly buying stuff to waste the fund. Can't do anything about it unless you manage to convince them you are from US, verify every information.


I would say, will they actually go out and lock your account, prevent you to access US eshop, ban your account? Definitely no.
But if you face any problem, whether it's password recovery or anything that requires a verification, they have the rights to not help you, since you are going against their terms and condition.

What difference does it make when Malaysia doesnt even have its own Nintendo region or representative to turn to when the incidences you mentioned happen? You sign up with Asia region also, Malaysia isnt recognized by Nintendo to apply that "aftersale service" you so much put emphasis upon.

It's even a moot case now since Nintendo themselves mention games being region free. I've had games purchased digitally since the original PSP days and PS3 on PSN, and I've just downloaded on my PS Vita today. That's 6 years back. If you're talking about physical games being resellable and digital isn't, I'd give you that. Especially since there are games that are priced the same, digital or physical.

Recent NPD numbers reports that almost 75% of games purchased have gone digital. Digital sales kills middlemen entities that take profit from reselling physical games by pricing them higher. Digital games allows everyone access to the same content irregardless where they are. That's what we should be cheering for, not encouraging another Maxsoft.

This we should be cheering on, Region Free games, implied on Switch's games so far.
For digital copy got no resale value, hold for now, since Switch support multiple accounts.

Now it's back as region free no need to even be concern about what was mentioned above. Nintendo themselves haven't done any of those, nor does Sony. Too much overthinking it seems lol.

I doubt they will change much, it will be mostly the same.. US, EU, and Japan region. Others never exist.
