Same argument I used when I argued for Taobao HZ 2% cash back. It was categorized under groceries. I was like? Since when you see a Taobao supermarket in Malaysia? Oh well.

All expenses regardless online or physical swipes are considered as retail spending.

Advanced cash, balance transfer are examples of not retail spending.

I also just read the terms and conditions and it didn't mention anything like the customer service told me

Yes, annually based on your approval date.
Rightfully for just principal cardholders. I only used once using voucher. Sometimes I got lazy just go to PPL if I'm not travelling in business class.

I wouldn't have so much patience dealing with them, I would have complained to BNM.
However, I can't help much because I have stopped using it for Lazada. You guys gotta escalate to BNM and let them interfere.

I always wonder why we need a template to make complaint? hmm.gif Just write an email and based on your experience, I think that's good enough rather than copying others' complaint.

Well, that's me as I always write my own complaint. I feel that if everyone is using the same template, banks/organizations may not take them seriously. Oh yeah, in this case BNM is copied, maybe they will.

I know I'm not stopping anyone to make complaints, and complain more to make our voice heard. However, a simple email will do and write our own complaints and if that is done earlier, by now already got back the cash back rather than asking around for a complaint template.

That's my opinion.

It doesn't consider but we can complain.

I have already sent an email not long after my post here. Let's see how they will react, if nothing constructive then escalate to BNM.
