Local mi5 YES & NO for imported units

Sorry fruitie my bad bad memory
Anyway i found the post from digi community.Below is the screenshot.Hope this clear abit of confusion here over CA & CAT biggrin.gif
*
please don't confuse ppl on local set or import set as the hardware is fixed.
only thing is the Global ROM and China ROM that make the tweak.
for me i always flash Global ROM to China ROM because there are too many built in apps which are non related to official Xiaomi.
somemore China ROM can easily root rather than risking yourself on Global ROM which is not included in their official website.
after you root, you can tweak around to get the max potential of your phone.
so even local set with Global ROM, if flash to China ROM it might not work, but after open up the root access and tweak it, it will work again.
the local/import gimmick is only those who work with Mi Malaysia created the hoax to urge ppl not to buy from parallel importer.
there is only one type of rom in their official website: http://www.miui.com/download-313.html and if there is more than one for different hardware spec, they will shows up there as well.
for example, Mi3 got TD and Mi3W version which you should taken care in order to download correctly.

OK, but that printed LTE-A logo is very misleading.

it's only Cat4 with LTE 150/50: http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=device&id=519..._f320l_g2_lte-a
and it's only support B1 and B5.

Nope. You are wrong there.

Mine is the LG G2 F320S (SK Telecom version)

It supports LTE bands 1,3,5 and 7.

I'm not the creator of pdadb la...
Please update them if the latest firmware can support B7 as well.
As i told you, the hardware is capable of many bands, only the firmware that limit the potential but after root, you can open up as much as you could.

No no... Dun confuse ppl here....
One carrier max is 20mhz...if 2CA mean 2x20mhz = 300mbps

BUT malaysia government only assign 10mhz of 2600mhz to each telco. And Digi use 10mhz of 1800mhz for 2CA.
That is y the CA is 2x10mhz = 150mbps

Remember spectrum allocation before u check the phone spec.
Cat cat cat is not equivalent to CA but they are related. smile.gif

Also, maxis grabbed redtone 10mhz and celcom grabbed altel 10mhz of 2600mhz to have 225mbps
Which is 20mhz+10mhz for their 2CA which is 225mbps

Comes with 4x4MIMO n 256QAM will push to 450mbps, and 450 above if more 1800mhz been used for 4g...

As you see from the latest post, the LG G2 Korean version is using SD800: https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon/processors/800
which is LTE Cat 4 with 2 X 10MHz CA but yet, international didn't consider this as LTE-A with the download speed of 150Mbps
Only those which is at list Cat 6 with DL 300Mbps qualify as LTE-A
I'm doubting digi qualify as LTE or LTE-A

That pdadb info is wrong.

For example, the SIM card slot is a micro-SIM, not a nano-SIM.

And my F320S does not support VoLTE.

The most important is user can archive 150mbps with 2x10mhz CA ...
I dun think a normal user will care it is considered LTE-A by int or no
They will most probably care the devices can support malaysia telcos' bands, CA, and most satisfying 4G+ icon on top of the screen lolx

After celcom news out, now need to consider for feature 4T4R... but... Any sales at phone shop know these? They all duno.. they just want to sell the phones! Camera MP GB RAM n storage...

Zzzz

Either DiGi has stepped up their game or I'm extremely lucky: made the order for Infinite 150 at 4pm yesterday, simcard arrives today by GDex and I'm already online now using their service: popped in simcard into Huawei E5786 and works straight away.

There's nothing else needing setup right? I read something about forcing specific radio bands to work here, does that improve reception/speed/coverage?

actually i'm asking how to tweak in Windows 10 to get maximum throughput on usb tethering but someone started on the xiaomi local or import set and soon drag into this lte-a stuff... actually i also don't care about digi got lte or lte-a but to provide 50-60Mbps for just RM159/month is better than paying unifi or maxis for 50Mbps package~

Aeon AU2: 5Mbps download 10Mbps upload. It's usually the other way round isn't it?

I'll be using this while moving around, so location-wise it will vary.

Oops, corrected.

Yup, on the E5786, the signal kept switching between 3G and 4G. Not concerned though, I rather have no quota to worry about, and I already expect up and down speed fluctuation, since I'll be using this while moving about. Already have UniFi at home.

if you lock on 4g I believe you might get better speed than 10Mbps

want to ask you, when you bought the E5786, does it comes together with the AF18?
What is the ethernet speed if included? 10/100/1000Mbps?
