Is setting to connect to LTE/4G the same as going into the admin page and doing it through there? 192.168.8.1, that admin page.

EDIT: Which one to set?

user posted image

EDIT AGAIN: Better speeds now: 12Mbps download, 9Mbps upload, set to "LTE-preferred" and "LTE-A B3+B7". At that kind of speeds I can stream my PS4 game of Persona 5 anywhere I want without quota worry! thumbup.gif

Which is better, "LTE-preferred" or "LTE" only? I'm leaning towards LTE-preferred as a fallback, I assume that if there are no LTE coverage, it'll drop down to 3G. I'm also assuming that if it is "LTE only", if there are no LTE coverage, it'll drop back to nothing, zero connection. 3G is too slow to stream a PS4 game.

actually i'm asking how to tweak in Windows 10 to get maximum throughput on usb tethering but someone started on the xiaomi local or import set and soon drag into this lte-a stuff... actually i also don't care about digi got lte or lte-a but to provide 50-60Mbps for just RM159/month is better than paying unifi or maxis for 50Mbps package~

What about usb tether directly to your router? What's the max speed you can get from that?
Also, which mini pc are you using now?

Any device that can accept the sim card for WIFI internet, Ethernet internet and also have RJ11 for DECT phone?

Then we can use this device for Digi unlimited call and unlimited internet.

please don't confuse ppl on local set or import set as the hardware is fixed.
only thing is the Global ROM and China ROM that make the tweak.
for me i always flash Global ROM to China ROM because there are too many built in apps which are non related to official Xiaomi.
somemore China ROM can easily root rather than risking yourself on Global ROM which is not included in their official website.
after you root, you can tweak around to get the max potential of your phone.
so even local set with Global ROM, if flash to China ROM it might not work, but after open up the root access and tweak it, it will work again.
the local/import gimmick is only those who work with Mi Malaysia created the hoax to urge ppl not to buy from parallel importer.
there is only one type of rom in their official website: http://www.miui.com/download-313.html and if there is more than one for different hardware spec, they will shows up there as well.
for example, Mi3 got TD and Mi3W version which you should taken care in order to download correctly.

I'm talking about band support out of the box. Save the root or flashing part pls. Many of LYN members asking why their phone doesn't support lte-a out of the box. Well it's good if u can do for them for free

my router archer c2600 doesn't support usb tethering, so therefore need a mini pc to route the internet to the wan port.
i'm using Chuwi Hibox, the cheapest 4GB RAM mini pc i can get from market.
cost USD129.99 at gearbest.

Oh wow, tplink start locking down firmware with that model
Just checked, openwrt available for that model is lede

http://dl.eko.one.pl/luci/lede/17.01-SNAPS...pq806x/generic/

Or you got any other spare routers that you can flash with gargoyle/openwrt?
That one's really small, how long was shipping from gearbest?

thanks for the suggestion, but i just stick to mini PC to router method, because my alarm system need to port forward but most of our telco don't have public ip and the configuration of the ddns also failed, therefore what i do is use teamviewer to access my house alarm.

gearbest sometime can be very fast, within a week but overall less than 3 weeks.

Technically you still can, using vpn + some extra port forwarding steps on the router
I know a really cheap one of you wanna try it
I'm able to view all my ipcamera at home

You chose the free shipping option?
Your gearbest shopping experience so far so good?
It's just that I've read comments ranging from items lost in transit or refund issues

Anyone out there using the same configuration as mine: Using a LTE-A phone, USB tethering to mini PC, ICS to Gigabit LAN and connect to wifi router.
I found out something fishy on the Windows 10 in the mini PC.
Before USB tethering, i can get speedtest on the Redmi Note 3 Pro with 50-60Mbps.
But after USB tethering, i only got 35Mbps shown in the mini PC, same as through the wifi router by connecting to the wifi with another phone.
Therefore i tried with wifi hotspot with 2.4GHz (the phone is putting very near to the mini PC) and end up the same speed as USB tethering method.
However, if i used wifi hotspot with 5GHz, i can manage to get around 40Mbps++, although i still able to get 50Mbps++ from Redmi Note 3 and another phone connect directly to the hotspot.
So in the end, i end up using Wifi Hotspot method with 5GHz, although i still prefer using USB Tethering but something fishy in Windows 10 that throttle down the speed as USB 2.0 can goes up to 480Mbps while Wifi only can go Max 72Mbps.
I already google but none of them solve this issue, only talking about autotuninglevel but still the same after disable it.
If anyone know how to tweak in Windows 10 please kindly let us know.
This will be useful if in the future the LTE speed can go beyond 150Mbps and i want to route the full speed, not with throttle speed.

hey i noticed this very same thing too actually, i have tp-link M7350 and noticed the difference in speed when connected by wired and wireless 5ghz connections. i think there's some problem with the RNDIS driver in windows 10 for the wired connection, hence the reduction in speed. not sure if it will help but maybe you can try updating the RNDIS driver to improve the performance?

link about RNDIS problem in windows: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/ge...indows-t3039183

btw, do u think i could use the mini USB to LAN/ethernet adapter to connect my M7350 to a the WAN/LAN port of a wireless router so that other devices connected to that router will get internet sourced from the M7350?

yup, it's quite reliable as i bought 3 units of it~
previously use 2GB RAM but the Pdanet software always crash, then change to this 4GB RAM then no crash~
of cos you need a UPS to keep the power always on, else frequent blackout will spoilt the PC, just like your desktop.
this is the cheapest 4GB RAM mini pc i can get so far, if i found any new model with even cheaper price will let u know.
