this router only up to LTE Cat 4 150Mbps,.

try to look for LTE CAT 6 in order to enjoy LTE-A/ 4G+ faster 4G connection  if you are in LTE-A coverages

Could you recommend some popular and reliable models?

I think this one also a good alternative if one's budget is not that great.. though cat4 not cat6, it does support LTE-A.. haven't found any LTE-A mifi or router less than RM500 locally..

Thanks for the recommendation.

Yeah, the price of the Huawei E5186 is a bit steep for me. sad.gif

Does the Huawei WS880 (with Xwrt-Vortex firmware) support a 4G LTE USB modem?

I am thinking of subscribing to Digi's Infinite 150 plan.

As I am already subscribed to Unifi, can I utilize the dual WAN feature,
or do I have to switch between Unifi and Infinite 150?

P2P port is blocked to stop abuse.
If you can find the way, please let me know and I wanna use dual WAN too. You know la we use the same router and firmware. tongue.gif
I will assume you have to use a compatible USB modem but I supposed it's not accepting many. Let me find a way to grab a modem. I have given most to my family. I may still have one or two, meanwhile if you know how please suggest. tongue.gif

I have UniFi 50M and Infinite 150 now. tongue.gif
I have both now for myself. tongue.gif
Anyway, I'm waiting for the right time to terminate or relocate my UniFi. laugh.gif

Thanks for sharing.

Presently, how do you access Digi Infinite 150?

You are indeed a lucky gal.

Using both Unifi and Infinite 150 ALL BY YOURSELF. rclxms.gif

I'm not bro la.
It will, no worries. You just need a 4G device.
I don't recall Digi takes deposit. All will be offset eventually.

I have been keeping tabs.

You have been called "bro" 43 times so far. biggrin.gif

You need to ensure it has Carriers Aggregation which I don't think it has.

OK then. Just have to live with 4G speed. sad.gif

I am thinking of subscribing to Digi Infinite 150.

Since I do not have any 4G+ devices at present, I wanted to check how would the normal 4G LTE performance fare in my house.

For this test, I tether my LG G2 phone with a Digi prepaid SIM card as a Wifi hotspot and connect my Meizu MX4 to it.

Here is the speedtest result from my MX4.

Is this speed reasonable for a normal LTE device? Is it OK for me to subscribe to Infinite 150 with this setup?

Of course I know.

I do not want to invest extra money in 4G+ devices at the moment and wanted to see how normal 4G LTE would fare in my house.

if possible get the maximum bandwidth rather than stay on 4G speed

I know it is possible but I do not want to invest extra money in 4G+ devices.

Back to my questions after all the unnecessary distractions.....

raynman if you stream videos or youtube a lot, use fast.com to do the benchmark rather than speedtest.. like your setup.. end user experience using devices thru wifi
*
I seldom stream videos or youtube, but thanks for the tip. smile.gif

8-12Mbps is disappointing for a normal LTE connection, not to mention LTE-A.
