But there is a lot of confusion regarding the availability of the product. Given the chance, I definitely would take the Unifi Lite over streamyx or the higher speed Unifi package.

Ya because all the info we are getting now are from 3rd party. Hv to wait for official announcement to clear things up.

I am lead to believe there won't be any reveal/official announcement from Jun'17 onwards,
Unifi Lite will remain sink into bottom of sea. tongue.gif

Is there anyone here using Unifi Lite via VDSL homeland?

Can agent check whether my 8Mbps Streamyx is using VDSL cabinet or not?

Quite curious with this coverage....

apparently there is
few pages back, the ping clearly shows hes on VDSL and not fiber

And, Streamyx 8mbps RM140 (RM149 after +GST) enjoyed free calls to TM numbers, HyppTV box, download at 10mbps(+/-) and upload at 1mbps (+/-).

Since when streamyx 8mb got 10mb+- download and 1mbps+- upload? Im using 8mb right now and the highest that i can get only 8.5mb for download and 0.56mb for upload. Haihh... i've saw many of your post here quite misleading and only based on your agak-agak information.

i believe he's talking about speed cap limit set by technician?
e.g:
4Mbps = 5120kbps
8Mbps = 10240kbps
10Mbps = 12800kbps
and so on?

TM must have some new products to encourage existing Streamyx users at HSBB & SUBB areas to convert to Unifi. Then they can remove the copper network as running dual systems (PSTN copper and IP Fibre) is not productive and could be costly in maintaining old and obsolete system. TM could anytime launch ADSL2+ 10/16/21mbps (using existing copper lines) but it never happens, they go for VDSL2/FTTH instead. They will have to switch off Streamyx when ADSL technology is dead.

It is an alternative product, not a upgrade or downgrade. Unifi Lite RM129 (RM137 after +GST) doesn't come with free calls (+RM20) and HyppTV box but download at 12mbps(+/-) and upload at 6mbps(+/-); And, Streamyx 8mbps RM140 (RM149 after +GST) enjoyed free calls to TM numbers, HyppTV box, download at 10mbps(+/-) and upload at 1mbps (+/-).

i subscribed 8mbps rm140 last two weeks. If lets say next month, got unifi lite 10mbps rm129 at my area, can i switch to unifi lite? my contract haven expired. unifi lite i mean here is for streamyx user.

Just wait lah, you will get it (or similar product), it is just a matter of time. Very soon, even you don't convert to VDSL/FTTH, they will stop your ADSL.

I haven't seen the terms and conditions, I can't answer you. Worse case, you can get Unifi Lite in April 2018 when your contract ends.

I think its because the demand is so much higher than supply, so hv to wait for port. No issue at all in my taman as it is already covered by HSBB project since 2012/2013 and they already rectified any initial deployment issue. TM gt tell u hv how long to wait for a port?

Not sure because in ur case Unifi is cheaper than ur Streamyx subscription. For most ppl its Streamyx cheaper than unifi or their Streamyx contract has ended.

Maybe they hv different database. Hv u quote the TM call to them?

U can also check online using ur address and postcode. Dont use the map method on the website as its not very accurate.

the best way to find out if you have coverage is to ask an agent. they know more then the stupid cs.
