QUOTE(westlife @ Apr 14 2017, 02:47 AM) If M or C comes out similar unlimited plan, they can easily eliminate D. Given M or C coverage or network performance. But no way they will do it. Maxis CEO Morten Lundel had stated with one of the interview that Maxis will not offer unlimited quota plan in the future citing it's costly to keep network healthy while offering unlimited quotaD comes out unlimited in order to fight the two. But they cannot even sustain with this marketing strategy, this is the reason why they stop the rm80 restrictive unlimited plan for less than a week of launch. W did not stop their offer for rm79 unlimited promo or increase the price simply due to the fact they have not managed to get enough customers to hit the limit of the offer yet. But for any common telcos, they can hit the limit easily if the price of unlimited plan I s below rm100 since most customers are on their popular plan that are at this kind of price tag. It will be more of a direct switch. Given that D the so called unlimited plan is with specific end date or even early ending date if full sign ups. It shows that given the current infra of any telcos, unlimited plan is not something that they can not really support or sustain or limited. Even they offer, it is very obviously congestion is something customers will face too. |

Actually Digi is investing a lot on this and their future networks to cope with the heavy traffic. Being working in a vendor telco MNC does have its advantage for this kind of news.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 14 2017, 02:33 AM) Just bought a LTE-A MiFi and will reach me soon, my friend is bringing for me from China. I will only get it in early May, so in the mean time will stuck with my 4G MiFi first which is very fast already, around 60Mbps now. U made great choices.like me terminate the time fiber too. This plan digi infinite 150 much more worth value...I will be registering a Digi Infinite 150 plan later and I was choosing my preferred no. on yesterday, so lucky to have found an exact copy of my Celcom corporate no., just that the prefix is different i.e. 019 and 016 now. Will bid farewell soon to my UniFi, luckily my contract is ending and suddenly thought of relocating to my sister's house, UniFi will be activated in her street soon, instead of I terminate it. She can have my RM 179 50Mbps package. Also, since I'm using dual SIM card phone and my Celcom corporate plan comes with 20GB, I'll soon suspend my Digi Ambassador data plan as well. |

I just be part of MOP 98 as well. Is very true, Maxis line is stable because it does not compete with other telcos. If you are willing to pay for their service, it does not disappoint us by the way. The line is very good and 4G coverage almost part of Klang Valley. QUOTE(axoloke @ Apr 13 2017, 11:10 PM) Yeah...but it was a call to 100. Anyway, lesson learnt....actually I can understand it, just that it feels a bit misleading and the customer service was pretty arrogant when telling me that. So far all telco are like that. free calls only to mobile and landline. calls to special numbers like 1300, 600, and all those other 3/4 digits numbers will be charge. those are called special numbers. This post has been edited by YoungMan: Apr 14 2017, 10:48 AM |

We'll see, Maxis isn't a trendsetter lately but they tend to follow the competition although a bit late. |
