QUOTE(kernel123 @ Apr 1 2017, 11:18 PM) damn. u are lucky man. probably the fastest digi speedtest since mass reporting of digi network congestion. right now im only getting 4Mbps on 4g Nop. But my taman is the last residence area. 2-3KM inside without any population. Basically the 4 telco also never congested for me. But bad side is unifi never come in too. I don't care now.do u stay in kampung area? |

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Apr 3 2017, 08:14 AM) Yes. Credits from Digi prepaid will carry over. When Telco enforced it, peoples will say they should get what they paid, it is truely unlimited or telco abused the FUP term.Malaysian mentality, abuse whenever possible. I hope Digi follow some countries standard to reduce priority for users like this because network already congested enough. depend on your area. if can support LtE-A even faster speed. So hard to balance it. |

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Apr 3 2017, 02:56 PM) I still think its morally wrong. This is not Streamyx. You you want to have high data usage, please convert back to Streamyx. Technically, wired or wireless, there have a limited bandwidth for their backbone. For TM policy, they has the right to limit your speed up to 1/4 only. Unless you buy a leased line.Yes, you're wrong. You're just think about yourselves. You selfish little kid. And i don't see any morally wrong or user error here. User pay the money, they spend what they want to do (unless it against the digi policy, and digi stated download in high volume is a wrong doing.) And it is not user responsibility to control or protect the digi infrastructure, network or traffic, digi is the one who control it (that's why FUP kick in and prioritized the normal user traffic) |

QUOTE(tohff7 @ Apr 3 2017, 05:52 PM) But when FUP implemented to curb abuse, then you see ppl complain like hell. Maxis Biz 68/99, Celcom Burung Hantu are good examples You know why fixed line & wireless broadband, but just only wireless was enforced the FUP until now?The main reason is, the fixed line is fixed the location. The ISP already made the analysis, and control the sales of the plan. When it out of port, then it is the end. But wireless, ISP cannot analysis the market precisely and force & control the user to use in the certain area only, and finally, Telco over sell the plan. For example, in an area like shopping mall, morning has 50-200k users in & out, but night only 500-1000 users. If you are the ISP, how to you assign the network? Or a resident area, morning has 200 peoples because all out of work, but night time there are 5000 peoples. This is most telco cannot control with. And the another reason is, the network upgraded a lot but the backbone didn't. 10 years ago maxis can offer unlimited GPRS/EDGE. But today 4G is 1000x faster than it. But the fibre backbone only upgrade 4-5x. This is why many countries start to retrieve unlimited plan after 3.5G era. High volume downloader definitely is the reason, but probably only 10% of it. |

QUOTE(asamalikum @ Apr 4 2017, 01:53 PM) yeap. according to digi, it's not prorated. all your previous plan are with limits. this is without, that's the only difference. but then, the staff might be wrong. we'll see. What if the bill date is less than 5 days? I have to pay RM159 for 5 days usage? I definitely will report to MCMC if they fully charged me. The billing date is not my choice. |

QUOTE(mycrystal88 @ Apr 5 2017, 04:58 PM) thank you. From my experience, MIFI is not designed for stability, but mobility.i not sure which 4g phone support LTE-A ? how to know digi 4G speed is support LTE-A ? as i refer this post , if speed test > 30-80mb , is confirmed is LTE-A could you still recommend me which model and brand support for lte-a , mifi , 4g modem wifi and usb dongle because in future i still need it (always travelling ) , just one time paid for lte-a modem . If you want best performance, i will recommend you to buy a 4G usb modem, + MR3040(for outside), and any router support openwrt(for home usage). But badly, i don't see any LTE-A usb modem yet. |

I guess digi start to collect for the past 2 weeks, those high data usage, analysis their server, and starting to blacklist those illegal or some grey areas such as pirate download, non official video/music streaming like youtube...

QUOTE(kae7 @ Apr 6 2017, 06:54 AM) This has been stated again and again. I just stated this in few post back I150 doesn't have hotspot pass. It is for I80.according to FAQ, it is only 5 devices [attachmentid=8698554] in reality, can share more than that you know what, this type of question has been asked many times in this forum, and they also ask DiGi. Of course, from DiGi side, they will follow what they have stated in FAQs. If people still keep asking, and somehow later DiGi really limit the devices up to 5 only, people will rage For I150, please refer back to the 1st term. It is a native and permanent free unlimited tethering. |

QUOTE(GameSky @ Apr 6 2017, 08:53 AM) blocked it seems. Digi is "optimising" the network. I am seeing more and more IP/server got blocked.gg digi, says "unlimited" but a lot stuff blocked.. luckily i didn't jump to postpaid infinite 150..a lot stuff blocked :v I am ok if digi set throttle or enforce FUP by traffic shaping method, but not block the whole IP/network. If they continue block the IPs, this plan finally will become infinite fb&youtube plan. |

QUOTE(GameSky @ Apr 6 2017, 09:08 AM) if it's throttled, at least can see it buffering..this totally "no source found" or "404", http error.. Anyway, i am more exciting to see maxis & celcom follow the trends. I don't need a truely unlimited plan, just a high quota plan (100gb+) to replace fixed line. I prefer a quality line more than block this & that plan. So far, i am very satisfy with the digi at my area now, but before the line become congested, i am more worrying how digi "optimise" the line.unless you wanna pay extra for VPN, not sure if digi blocked vpn addresses too. VPN is not a good way, if digi is aggressive, they will block it soon or later. |

QUOTE(more69 @ Apr 7 2017, 07:43 AM) Modem usually will 5-15% better than phone, but it is just a very small different. If the area is facing low signal, you must use external antenna. It could increase up to 80% of signal. |

QUOTE(more69 @ Apr 7 2017, 08:20 AM) my case was slightly different, i can get around 6-10m during peak hour. but youtube may buffering for 1 minuites for 720p. during phone calls may not hear the other party sometimes, speedtest may not responding from time to time. i got 2 digi line, phone & mifi also the same. This is more like technical error. Nothing related to signal. Only digi can fix it.just reported to cic, see what they can do |

QUOTE(rgchai @ Apr 7 2017, 01:27 PM) I bought antenna from lazada (https://www.lazada.com.my/four-g-lte-antenna-35dbi-crc9-connector-booster-signal-amplifier-1980470.html) for my Mifi modem Huawei E5180. Disappointed with it. After plugged in, didn't see much different in signal gain, maybe less than 20% improvement. With/without external antenna still get about 2-3 bars signal. Didn't see any improvement in dl/ul speed as well, and sometimes totally no data at all even with 3 bar signal, not sure is caused by this external antenna or not... External antenna need tune to right direction for maximum performance.Wrong direction may cause even worse performance. Signal will become inconsistent and speed may terrible. |
