u should look at the date of manufacture... best is below 3 months or below 6 months also acceptable... below 1 year is ok ok, check the condition of tire... more than that pls do not accept ot...

jus now my gf also asking me this for her colleague... haha...
called Tek Ming (Sunway) it should be around RM240 without old tires trade in... RM210 with old tires trade in... quite reasonable if with old tire trade in... smile.gif

Normally how does tyre shop value the old tyres ?
Old tyres means tyre which is still usable? Those which reach the thread limit still can trade in?

RM 30 per piece sounds good. If i can get RM 20 for kenari size, i would be happy. Haha

no la... i'm not sifu...

FYI michelin is not known of make sports tire... ppl know it's tire is expensive but worthy... Continental i have problem with it... the tire is like jumping when i put it on the balancing machine just after 4~6 months usage... the tire is CC1 now being replaced by CC5... it is a know issue according to my sifu and still ppl pushing/selling it like hot cake... it's grip is bad in corners especially wet braking also poor...

if you really run around i would recommend you PS3... CC5 is entree level altough it is new just out end of last year... but PS3 is performance tire which is another category or level.... it give you the dry/wet grip which CC5 will never give you, of course the sharp handling response....

since you say comfort is your proirity... then you should find Yokohama C Drive or Michelin Primacy LC which is in premium comfort category... which is 1 setup up... CC5 is same level with Michelin XM1, Yokohama A Drive and Goodyear NCT5 with me which all is not in my sight...

I'm running around too since i'm a technical/application guy, so both of my cars is on Hankook V12 195/50 R15 and also Michelin PS3... well all my family 15" tires is more towards performance except my mum's Avanza... i prefer grip grip grip, slightly noisy is ok for me of course i treasure my live more... of course the noise cannot be humming all day long like those extreme tires... so PS3 is your best bet... 185/55 R15 is officially available  too...

tried C drive before.. now using CC5 on other car.. i can say CC5 is more silent and comfort.. C drive is more sport oriented comfort.. but im not sure of the new C drive2.

for ultimate silence, CC5 cannot fight with Primacy LC which is premium comfort..

i just installed PS3 195/55/15 on another car as well.. very surprised with its performance & quietness!

If all goes well, I'll be getting my new Forte next week or the other. Heard that the stock tyres (Kumho KH17) are quite noisy.

Scouted for Michelin PS3 earlier in JB and was quoted a crazy RM530/pc for 215/45/17 doh.gif Thinking of getting either 45 or 50 tyres coz scared rim bengkok due to potholes sweat.gif

Any recommendation for a quiet tyre with good grip (I'll be running around a lot due to work).

Does anyone know tyre price for Michelin PS3 around Klang Valley, and also Bridgestone Potenza RE 001 Adrenalin?

Also any other good tyres to recommend that is not too expensive? Car just back from workshop, don't want to go in again due to lousy tyres.

Thanks.

Hi bros..

Thinking to change the Vios stock tyre. Any recommendations?
I have roughly asked around a few shops..
1) Conti CC5, 195/55/15, RM210
2) Michelin PS3, 195/55/15, RM270

For the price, which one would you recommend? I prefer quiet and comfort tyre.
I used Michelin PP2 before, I think it's noisy.. Is PS3 quieter?
