Wanna ask Yokohama C Drive 2 or Conti CC5 better in terms of wet grip?
Or any alternative 195/55/R15 which you guys recommend? Low budget, so don't want PS3, although I know it's very good.
Thank you
among the 2 you listed, definitely the c drive 2 due to wider water channeling grooves
c drive 2/cc5 aren't exactly low budget tires though, they are comfort/low NVH tires. there are cheaper budget tires such as a drive or good year duraplus for example
Standard tyre... requirements not sure as long as good and comfort.....
standard means what? got tire width/thickness profile/rim size
since only comfort is mentioned, could check out yokohama c drive 2. if willing to top up over your existing budget, can opt for their top of the line comfort/low NVH tires - Yokohama Advan DB
yoko cd2 55 vs 60 series got much handling differences? what about comfort differences? wandering what to choose between those 2 series, if handling (lane changing) not much differences then might go with higher series...
55 > 60 profile should not have much difference. although thicker (60 profile) should have better comfort
do bear in mind higher profile also have risk of tire hitting fenders in case you have very aggressive cornering/absorbers bottoming out, and/or lowered springs
seeking for your valuable advice...i dont know whether changing lane (like slalom) considered as agressive cornering... dont know how to describe but changing lane while driving fast on duke highway.... would 60 series affect handling too much? i want comfort due to road condition for travelling to and from work...
no. changing lanes are just brief steering unless you're telling me you're road racing zig zagging lanes like crazy
by "aggressive cornering" i am referring to taking sharp corners at high speeds (eg: over 100km/h and slamming the steering/brakes to tackle the corner. the lateral g force of such cornering can literally plant your face and ass to the door side if you're doing a hard/sharp/fast left turn.
so again no, 55 series to 60 series not much difference.
Hi all Sifu, going to change my civic FD1 tyre(noisy GY stock tyre) soon. looking for MAX comfort + silent type of tyre. Current in wishlist is XM2(~Rm440/donut ).
Not sure any1 here can intro other cheaper choices? kindly advice. thanks
Can try Yokohama c drive 2, around the price of xm 2 though
If you really want "max" silent/comfort then consider Yokohama's flagship tire series the "Yokohama Advan DB"
Anything cheaper and if you still want silent/comfort, I'd worry about safety and/or tread wear lol
HI, any1 here used COnti MC5 ?? what is the feedback on it? couldn't find any review on it... i was recomended by the shop for my 16" FD1(RM360/pcs). my main priority is COMFORT + QUITE. kindly advice.
quiet* you mean? consider the yokohama c drive 2/ advan db (if your budget allows lol)

My Civic is about to change all 4 donuts 205-55-16. Was thinking of XM2 for comfort. handling and wet grip because their review quite positive. How about other brands like Toyo or brigdestone?
Please recommend.
xm2 are kinda basic level tires, so don't expect too much

what tires do you recommend for my small little kancil? Stock size 155/70R12.
Can someone advise me the quality of silverstone powerblitz and goodyear GPS ?
too much bad review for silverstone as a brand, probably better off with good year. that said, no further comments since never experienced in the R12 size. if you're able to go R13, i can recommend yoko a drive (or a drive r1 if you want some performance with a minor sacrifice on NVH/comfort)
any reason y?? My current ae101 jt fitted cc5 n Feel not bad. Nw my fd1 need donut change s Well. dilemma on this as well.... Looking towards for comfort n silent.....
overall grip and traction not as good. however the tire's treadwear is better than c drive 2, so technically it is more economical.
Any recommended on 175/50R15 tire? So far only can manage to find Silverstone Evol 8, Goodyear NCT 5 and Dunlop D01 on current market... Which is best choose for handling kaki use?
