The power supply can get, but the mainboard that support it kinda hard nowadays, furthermore those mainboards the processors are integrated ones like VIA processors, can't really get performance out of those.

Nolah, mine use AMD Athlon XP processor, m-ATX board with 1GB. M2ATX can be use like normal PSU. It can support until P4 and Core2Duo. Just don't overload the wattage. It has normal power socket same as our home-use PSU, just the input of the power isn't the same; from car's battery.

Yes, If without Jumper, It's just act like normal PSU. Then the IGN Wire will not be use.

hmmm this is cool...but rather then using a pc i suggest use a pimp old skool xbox with it full function media center that should be grand,get a roof mounted lcd screen 15inch for rear and 2 visor screen for front viewing...

Mine just cost around RM2000-RM3000. Most of the money gone to buying decent LCD. The PC hardware salvage from my store which is now quite full with old hardware. M2ATX cost around RM 380 to RM 400+ depend on where you brought it. Mine locally.


Roof mount 15 inch is too much. Mine is 15 inch LCD with retractable legs (mod from camera tripod) and for front row, I got sunvisor and in-dash LCD, both 7 inch.

IMHO, another battery increase weight, more wiring and cost. Putting inverter result in noise, the 'jet sound'. When you rev the car, it's like sending a jet flying. Cool but annoying after a while. Anyway, a DC to DC is more energy efficient, my two cents though.

If want to try first but don't want to invest too much, go for the inverter first. Just make sure everything wired correctly. And safety first, eye on the road.
