finally managed to get taiwan tickets @ rm 710 per person all in.. include 20kg luggage two way for two person (i think i overbooked this. Couldn't change it for fear of loosing the booking)..

Air asia really needs to step up their IT systems... it really sucks.. whole day gone.. Initially got 125 in the morning for each way but the system couldn't process.. have to add up so much more..

Btw, travelling in May first week.. weather should be fine right?
*
I think 20kg going there is too much... maybe 10kg shud be enough already cos when i went there, my gf's and mine both also less than 10kg.

come back i cannot guarantee la.. if u buy a lot of things, then maybe la.. also need to see whether your luggage can fit the capacity or not la.. dun la bring 18" luggage and then book 20-30kg... of course can't reach the weight one...

may weather should be fine... maybe raining...

I booked from kk to taipei at RM155, then taipei to kk at RM196.40. I'm Johorean, since i need to take flight to KL, i might as well fly to KK at the same price then get cheaper rate to Taipei biggrin.gif

The price of baggage booked during promotion might not be the same when you book later. (or maybe there's a time frame for that).

The same thing might be also for the seating preference. I didn't book the seating arrangement when booked at the first time during promotion. when nearing the flying time, i tried to see if i can buy the seat arrangement, if i'm not mistaken, the price is doubled. So in the end didn't buy it.

During departure to Taipei, me and my GF, although side by side numbering but is separated by the aisle sad.gif. Lucily we get to sit together when flying back from Taiwan

If normal flight ticket should be in the region of RM1100 (AA) & RM1300 (MAS) So at RM3599 for 2 without any ground arrangement is consider expensive

Depending on where you wanna go..If Surrounding Taipei + 1 day outskirt (Such as Taroko) 5D4N also can dy. if wanna far away to Kaoshiung, Alisan & Hehuan probably atleast 1 week

If you're on DIY, you can refer pg1. most of the attractions & Transportation already there.

Yes the Metro system in Taipei is very efficient for sure wth extensive coverage to most Taipei & even surburban of Taipei.

I'm not sure if it's the same.. my hubby say same.. and we not gonna buy a lot... better book tix fast fast.. the add-ons decide later coz it wont cost much. Bout the seat, last time I check in early (when it's counter check in) then ask the customer service to issue me seat next to each other. She's kind to do that. Not sure bout it now, since it's online booking. But a while only lar.. dun want to spend the money - yea, i'm a miser tongue.gif

i don't think it's worth the money to select seats, since the flight is 3 hours+ only. my friend said normally if u check in together they will put u to sit side by side unless fully occupied. check in early so you have more choice.

btw, wondering if it's good to put wulai and maokong in the same day? wulai in the morning and maokong in the late afternoon. as from the MRT both stations (xin dian stations and zoo stations) are not linked. have to go all the way back to taipei main station to transit.

haha. i don't think it'll be a big problem for me coz only 2 of us are travelling. and if we really couldn't sit together it's fine with me also. flight only takes 3hours and we're gonna see each other for the next 7 days until jelak laugh.gif

so anyone has any suggestion for wulai and maokong? google map suggested that the journey from wulai to maokong takes about 2 hours with combinations of MRT and bus.

maokong is famous for tea plantation and tea cafe, nice scenery also. can see taipei from up there. from taipei zoo take the cable car to go up.

http://www.twmaokong.net/

i think i'll either split both places to 2 days and add on to others, or skip 1 of the place.
