Bidding for vanity account names, contract, dapps. Etc.

This is going to be locking up massive amounts of ETH for a year. Going to watch this one very closely.

Is this "locking up" of coins good for ETH in general?
I understand that it will create value, but it would also remove liquidity from the market, no?
Or am I just missing the point?

In a way, it's good for price stability. Not much coins left for shorting, mostly it'll be locked under ICO contracts, ENS and soon POS. This'll help to drive further demand.

Speaking of POS, I like the negative 8% by default, and validators need to maintain their node to break even and enjoy their 4% interest.

No slackers!

Sigh......I guess my only solution is to close my eyes and keep calm, and wait until the storm is over.
Too much red......making me depressed.
I should just console myself that I do not have too much in any coin to really give me any heart attacks......only 0.2 - 0.5 BTC worth here and there in the few altcoins that I hold.
Main holding still in ETH, BTC and XMR.

What's with the sudden pump of all the V-coins today???  rclxub.gif

Infancy stage remember? Still a ways to go. smile.gif

Yeah, all these dunno-what-coins being pumped. I have a mind to just buy 10 dunno-what-coins USD100 each and just play with it! ranting.gif

Nice. Which coin are you lending? Currently most coins' lending rates are horrible. Only clam is still good but coming down too. vmad.gif

My guts are telling me not to trust my guts on this one......
Maybe I'll just split it and buy both.

Welp, this is another reason why ETH is set to blow up higher.

IBM is also working with EVM via hyperledger. Yep, that same $100 billion dollar firm with other major global players experimenting on it.

hi guys, do you think Ripplecoin is viable? Thinking of buying some and keep. Hopefully it will be the official regulated bitcoin.

Ripple and bitcoin has different function. At the moment, ripple looks to be progressing well. However, what is the value of XRP is anybody's guess.

I did put some links in the front page on ripple. Can read and assess yourself wink.gif

You're better off holding Bitcoin or Ether based token.

Ripple itself holds 62 Billion tokens, that isn't very decentralized in my opinion.

It's mind-boggling to think that there are so many billions of tokens for that one coin.
I kinda think I'm just going to cut my losses and get out of Ripple.
I don't have a good feeling about this coin.

Don't be rude. I know I'm new here. But I'm not new to Crypto-Currencies. If you try to disrespect a newly joined member I'll have to report you to moderator for being a bully here. I do not have to share or tell you why I'm recommending BTC, it's confidential and obviously ETH already reaches it peak time.

I don't know how is this being rude.

We're all here to share and help each other out, i'm new to crypto and I am interested to know as to why you are recommending BTC. I'm looking for answers just like everyone else. Simple as that, but you obviously took it the wrong way.

"But I'm not new to Crypto-Currencies."
By the way, everyone is new to cryptocurrencies. Every single one.

Please do report me if you deem it necessary. Have a good day. smile.gif

Cool it down, mates.
Nobody is bullying anyone here.

@COLORWOLVES, we're all here to make friends, and newcomers are always more than welcome. We try to help each other out, and discussions are very much encouraged of course.
What @CoupeFanatic meant was that it would be much more helpful if everyone could post something engaging, for the benefit of others, such as why you buy or avoid any certain coin (i.e. you've done some sort of analysis, or have a unique perspective, or read a fascinating whitepaper, etc.).
For example, if I say to someone "Hey, buy XMR!" and then I tell him "I don't have to tell you why, because it's confidential" isn't really going to help the person understand XMR more, and could even come across as arrogant or condescending (which I am sure is not the case in your post earlier).

There are many trolls and spammers in the other threads on Lowyat.net forum (which thankfully we do not have in this thread) so we are all rather stringent on that (myself included).
