btw, what brand brake pad u recomand. My brake now sibeh noisy, when brake in slow speed, got "yiiiiiiiiiiiiiii" loud screeching noise.

sometimes when I brake to slow speed, engine slow down till like almost died split second
i have this problem too especially in cold weather (evening raining or after rain), no idea what happen with the rpm go as low as below 1000.

Where is the stabilizer link bush location? How does it feel when ko?

fyi, stabilizer link and bush is two different thing.

the link u can see easily if u rotate yr tyre out and see, it connect the anti roll bar to the strut , like this



the bush is actually quite hard to see because it is located kinda inside the car, the bush is like a rubber that hold the anti roll bar firmly to the suspension part. like this:




honestly u should change it anyway regardless got kong or half kong if yr car is like over 5, or 10 years, bassically these all is wear and tear item, and a pair of stabilizer link and a pair of bush cost less approx rm100 to get anyway so just change it.

My mechanic run diagnostic check engine no error code. So I just keep on driving. I suspect the on n off alternator giving this power loss dip.

I thought ori pad is ok, now also back to same problem with noise. A fren say sometimes due to the pad material hard so the vibration cause the metal sheet wear indicator to vibrate. Each time after wash clean dry then ok. Rain also no sound. So I suspect is the pad. Now no idea what brand of pad is ok.

Bush or link ko, u should feel more body roll and sometimes a metal sound "Tink" when suspension flex.

Yup...good photo. Mine is the link ko, can see the rubber cover for the link koyak and wet stain grease. This link about rm90 per pair. Yet to buy and fit. The bush is located a the bottom of the chassis. I haven't check it, need to jack up only can see.

Considering to change ride so may not change anymore parts.

For the alternator, my mechanic say life span maybe 40-50k km. So if I keep avanza, I need to recond the ori alternator as spare. Reason to change car cause driving as ehailing. Already 9yrs. So as good as changing it, if not every month also got something to change. Changed many big components already.

if u want to replace the link, might as well replace the bush sekali la, and bush very cheap only

i went to another workshop, the guy tell me because i set the aircond temperature to 60-70% near to the middle. so when the car too cold when keep turn on and off the alternator. He ask me turn temperature to 75-80% then will be no problem, after few day, the auto rev come again but after rev 1 or 2 time then go back normal already. Not like the previous keep rev until I off aircond.

I seen this site before, but parts seems not reliable....hahah

My avanza 2011, last year already, next year cannot do ehailing. Max 10yrs only. That is why considering to change to Bezza.

Before I change alternator no issue. I still suspedt the on and off alternator problem. I got my amaron hi life battery back, factory refilled with special juice...hahaha....so now kept as spare, but battery shop told me every 2 mths I need to charge it.

How much the alternator cost ? This weekend I go workshop check again, these few days the problem still there, this problem only happen if the aircond fan ON cold air ON, if turn off the cold air then no problem.

My avanza almost 200000km, need to do full overhaul ?

I have this problem also when engine are cold and turn on the ac, it will keep rev 1.5rpm, until i off the engine, but if i wait the car till normal engine temp only on the ac it will running normal

anyway, if engine still good, no leaking or what, then no need overhaul, keep it just do normal oil chg then can already.

engine cold ? Do you mean cold start in the next day ?
If you mean cold start, it is normal if you cold start with aircond ON and cause RPM high because the engine too cold and the engine oil not yet enter the engine. Thats why AC professional advice us to turn OFF aircond when you leave the car, start the car with aircond OFF, turn ON aircond when your car warm up enough.

Still thinking want buy or not, loan rm1200 for 9 years. But heard that Civic vs Altis, Civic power but after 170kmh will bouncy, cornering perfect. Altis power but pickup slower than Civic TC but after 180kmh still steady and comfort.

Engine still good, but recently have the RPM auto rev problem, something related to aircond parts

the new gen altis that havent reach malaysia im not sure, but im sure that the current altis comfirm not as stable at those speed cause i had driven one, not even dare to cross over 160kmh(maybe me noob), 140,150kmh is still ok, the steering is too light, the chassis felt floaty at high speed compare with the 9th gen civic i drove, (sry again im comparing to prev gen civic cuz i havent had the chance to try the new gen civic), the civic fb is overall a better car in every way except maybe worse a little bit more soft comfortable ride of the altis.
