guys, any idea why the aircond is not cold when the car not moving (just blowing air). but when it starts to move, the aircond function as normal.

last time my avanza like this, then go do a full service aircon ok already. Just pray it is not the compressor or cooling coil kong, if yes then need to prepare some money to fix.

Every 60k km typically need to service AC and change cabin filter. If compressor ko straight no more cooling.

Mine 1.5 yr 2011 is 1.1. But carerful if use OEM as the internal bottom got different type.

is not cat, but the tail muffler.
ori rubber bracket is very loose & fell off twice time.
im surprised it is not hot to touch so i hang it back

my family 1.5g 2006 till now, still solid cold idle the exhaust muffler still look ok, not much vibrate also.

is your problem resolved? One of the few factors I can think of is last time I encountered this in my other car was because my aircond fan koyak already so no heat exchange was done when standstill. With the car moving, circulation was passing through the fins in front of car hence car was cooler.

If your car is overheating, the ac won't be cold also but I don't think this is the case.

My aircon not cold problem when moving at slow speed recently was overcome merely with aircon gas top-up.

In the above thread on 2007 Avanza aircond gas topup, I was advised to check underhood on the weights (grams) of Refrigerant 134a and Compressor Oil table.

My underhood table is dirty, blur and can't read the numbers.

Can someone take a photo and upload here the exact weights recommended in the table by Toyota?

Few weeks back went to service brakes. Found brake caliper pin front worn. So shop advise to buy pin with silicone bush. Anyone tried? Now suspect this was the culprit in my front suspension noise. Also found front absorber mounting slight crack. Only can be seen when fully jack up. KYB mount vs normal Toyota OEM mount any difference? I see the prices like 100% more.

Fitted those pin yesterday, noise almost gone, very minor left and sometimes only.

i think without brake apply. caliper is floating shake.
so he will knock around places

during brake. caliper no shake

semi brake on rough surface...such as down parking ramps...suffered 1yr multiple parts change only found out....

best way to troubleshoot noise front suspension:-

1) shake tyre when both lifted, check for loose steering rack end or tie rod
2) visual and physical check stabiliser link and bush
3) visual check absorber mounting, lift both tyres, mine well hidden the minor crack
4) visual lower arm bush

My front suspension practically new now...hahaha....

This caliper pin help a bit, left minor noise can't be help. If pin too tight, brake will jam, too loose noise occur. So hard to find the good tolerance gap.

Ok lah, now least I don't feel worry. Before felt like the suspension like going fall off...hahahah

1st gen Avanza don't have cabin filter back then.
