Does it clok clok all the way until road turns back even? If yes, try to check your brake calipers for any play. Last time my first gen myvi after a few months need to grease the caliper pins to fill in the gaps between the pins and the caliper to dampen it.

Only during corners, straight all no sound. So it can't be brakes.

At last solved my "Clok" "Clok" suspension sound. Changed tie road and rack end 555 with new boot. Now like new car.....hopefully no more nonsense for next few mths.

Old rack end super loose, use finger can swivel the joint. Tie rod a bit loose only. Decide to change out both then do it 2x later.
*
May I know where did you get yours changed? I have the same issue as yours as well, when cornering there will be this "clok" sound no matter the speed.

At last found the "clok" sound at corners over uneven ground, less then 5mins my fren workshop found the culprit. The steering rack bush slight play. Only at the extreme corner the steering rack have free play. So when lower arm flex, the steering rack will rock left and right a bit. Then the "clok clok" sound will come.

Turn your tyre to the right extreme, then with a big and long screw driver try to move the steering rack. Watch for any free play at the mounting of the rack.

That is why I always go back to my fren for any headache troubleshoot. He is well experienced. Unlike normal shop.

So now I bought silicone 3 pieces steering bush. Hopefully next week can fit. Also, will install my rear absorbers already used RS ultra for 80k km on rear.

Ok, silicone steering bush fitted. The old 2 small bush a bit worn. 1 big bush worn more and started to crack. On fitting new bush the big bush tough to fit as the silicone bush is harder material.

After fitting, noise gone. Just some minor sound from suspension flexing only. Also, handling seems tighter now. I guess the rear suspension bush also likely worn by now too. Rear suspension and lateral stabilizer bush next. The suspension bush needs to be pump in. Going take time and money. Lateral stabilizer bush easier to fit. Rear absorber 80k km now, maybe do it with bush together later.

Go for SN. Doesn't matter which generation.

Thanks for responding.
Maybe I should put my question clearer this way, what specific API SJ/SL/SM oils are mentioned in owners' manuals of Gen1 and Gen2.

API SN was launched in 2011 when Gen1 Avanza production was tailing off..

Not mentioned. Use the best oil u can afford. Most engines is ok with whatever oil, only those badly abused then could be badly worn so u need thicker oil.

If your engine well maintained suggest the best oil, to prolong life. Been using fully SN. But this year will go semi SN as mileage just too low. 9 mths only clocked like close to 2k km....hahahh..wasted my fully SN.

i did rear anti roll bar first, then front strut bar, then front lower arm bar, i install it one by one in that sequence.
in the end, i take out the front strut and the lower arm bar as it is jsut too stiff and uncomfortable.
the rear anti roll bar is ok though, it increase straight line stability and as well as improving bodyroll, not eliminate but improve.
but still i would recommend change yr shock to kyb rs ultra first before instaling the bar.

then i suggest u install 19mm rear anti roll bar, like i said it will increase the stability but whether or not the price are worth the performance, it really depends on your budget tolerance as the price wont be low now i reckon. if your goal is to really want to improve your handling, save the money and put in adjustable around.
for me i dont like the front strut and lower arm bar, the rear anti roll bar, if i would given the chance to go back in time, i wont install it though.
