If your plan is under 100Mbps, there will be no difference. It is something like HW acceleration.

i had tried to disable, somehow it works better than enabled. (at least what i feel la )

loading webpages on my ipad etc are speedier now. and when watching youtube there is less intermittent connectivity issues especially on apple tv.

will monitor for a longer period to confirm.

My torrent like kena throttle je. Since upgrading last year never had this throttle problem. Not like I torrent every day.

Back in year 2003-2005, before https/sftp/ftpes (let just say encrypted connection, unlike torrent weak protocol obfuscation) was widely used, TM throttled connection based on detected file extension. (mkv,mp3,ts)
Best part = throttled to 5kb/s (dial-up speed)
1Mbps was the top 'broadband' speed in Malaysia during that time.

been waiting for my speed upgrade from 30mb to 50mb..call tm today, ad they say i am not entitled for the upgrade as my building did not support more than 30mb..feels unfair..as i am paying as same as those who got 50mb..will my monthly bills can be reduced as im not entitled the free speed upgrade?

My TM surprise was supposed to be free jumbo pack , and according to the confirmation email it's supposed to start in April but the jumbo pack channels are still in ''preview only'' . I've messaged TM's facebook page and they say I'd have to wait for SMS ? Anyone who opted for the jumbo pack surprise care to weigh in ?

Me too. i selected the jombo pack on the 1st day TM launch the thankyou supprise microsite and received the confirmation email...last month when i revisit again the thankyou supprice microsite, fill up all the details again then it show me to choose again jombo pack or webe, then i choose jombo again and received another confirmation email. Till today i still didn't get the jombo pack. Last week i visit again the microsite, fill up all the details, but then it show "Please come back again later"

i think a lot of other countries do that too. TM considered ok already for the speed on all these.
