You can VLAN IPTV it to your Wireless on your router.

Another possibility but it is only supported on D-Link and the RGX4400 I guess.

Download WiFi Analyzer like this one to your phone and check the the least crowded channel (1, 6 or 11), then choose it in your router.  smile.gif

wow thank you so much, it really solve my problem.

Previously, the Auto mode was always at channel 10, which is very crowded.

That depends on the local situation (what other wifi around user is using). And if Channel 10 is congested, Channel 11 likely congested as well, a lot of people default to 1, 6, 11.

Go to TM Point and settle with them.
Should be RM1 per month excluding GST to keep the old phone number.

Go to TM Point letting them know TM is still charging the rental. They will deduct the amount from your bill and the following month billing back to normal.

You need to apply for removing the rental charges at TM Point as it is not done automatically after you activated Unifi. The above happen to me also.

Yup. I can watch 4K video smoothly with UniFi Advance 30Mbps but if someone is using your Wi-Fi for downloading or streaming, it will buffer for awhile.

Hi guys, happy Labour Day.

I'm planning to install Unifi soon at my home, wanted to put the BTU, router and dect phone units in my study room instead of the usual living room.

Question is will any wifi repeater/range extender work with Hypptv as shown in the diagram below? The wifi extender must also provide wired LAN to my TV and soundbar.  I know powerline adapters can do that but not in my case because the living room and study room are wired with different power phases.

This can be done, for example with Mikrotik routers. You'll have 1 Mikrotik router in the study which is configured to trunk both vlan500(internet) and vlan600(hypptv) over a network interface to the Mikrotik router in the living room. The network interface can be either a cable or wireless. I'm doing something like this but with a cable, trunking vlan50 (LAN traffic) and vlan600 from room upstairs (where BTU & router is) to living room downstairs (AP & STB). Another example is my auntie's house where she's trunking only vlan600 over wifi. Here she uses a (illegal) frequency out of the normal channels 1-13 to avoid interference.

One thing about HyppTV streams and wifi is that it's very sensitive. You'll need a good and consistent wifi connection. If not, you'll start getting buffering or loss of signal and it takes ages to re-sync.

HyppTV is on a different VLAN with Internet so it will be either LAN connectivity with Internet VLAN or HyppTV VLAN.

I suggest you try Powerline first, I manage to get around 50Mbps on a good day with Powerline even on different phase.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have a pair of Aztech 500mbps homeplugs. Tested between my study room and living room which i can't even connect. I've yet try those newer generation of powerline adapter that can utilize all 3 socket wires. Anyway, I got new idea of putting the Hypptv in master bedroom instead as i can still get weak signals there from my current homeplug. At the moment my priority is to get a good repeater or media bridge to serve tv, soundbar and android box in the living room. Any suggestion of a good repeater? I'm looking at Asus RP-AC68U but wow that thing is expensive.

Interesting.... i wonder if it works with Asus router/repeater with appropriate configuration. Sounds like i need more technical knowledge to do what you suggested. Anyway, thanks a lot thumbsup.gif .

You need a wireless bridge for that. You can try TP-LINK, they are more affordable than Asus, they are pretty good as well.

Can suggest any specific model of tp-link for this? I'm reading and searching one too now.

I have yet to try the latest TP-LINK repeaters but the old ones are pretty good. I think you can try the RE200

D-Link is decent and it is cheaper but there's no mobile apps support.
