Any one is fine. Depends on your maintenance cost.
So far Digi and maxis has worked for me and I can even get signal at Punggol northpoint area.

Hi all,

Was wondering anyone been in this situation?
I am currently an ep holder for a few years.

I received an offer from company A last month, back then there were no other offers and the package seem good, so i accepted the offer. But the HR had some cock up on my EP application, they withheld it for nearly a month in order to clarify some matters with MOM. They finally submitted couple days ago.

During this period, i was still getting interview calls. Because of the delay in the submission, i was a bit kiasi and went for most of the calls, as i fear the first offer will fall through.
Which resulted another company giving me a more attractive package.

So my question is, can i cancel the company A IPA once it is issued?
Any consequences or impact of this from MOM side? In terms of company B pass application?

Hey guys,

Quick question, I have been vaccinated (first and second doses) in Singapore last year but yet to receive booster dose at this point since I am in Malaysia.

If I wanted to go back to Singapore now, would it more convenient to take the booster in Malaysia or Singapore?

If I booster in Malaysia, how do I update it into TraceTogether? My TraceTogether app shows that I am not fully vaccinated anymore.

Can I go into Singapore with 2 doses and take my booster there?

I am an EP now pending PR approval if that matters.

Your sharing is very much appreciated guys.

Thank you!

Why not consider prepaid or supplementary line of your family member. I recalled maxis comes with a rm20/line package with shared data.

IPA is in principle approval not the official EP so cancellation is fine. In fact if you don't complete the remaining process within timeline it'll cancel on its own. I don't see how that will adversely affect future EP application unless it's a repeat offence? 😆

But EP application is generally challenging now so are you sure you have a strong case for fresh one (Company B's eligibility to sponsor and other criteria). What is your back up plan if new application with Company B is rejected?

Haven’t start the checkup portion yet
Would it be easier to call off now while it is in process or after i obtain ipa?

I not sure would it raise any eyebrows over at MOM side having two applications, one after another, after cancelling the former.
Thus affecting the approval of it.

Company B is a large MNC, package offered also safely above the min requirement. Work exp and edu qualification matches too. So I presume should be……ok.

Backup plan?, i guess i will just continue working in my current coy, and beat myself up for loosing two birds due to greed. 😂

Not their first rodeo with serial job hoppers.
It's only a problem if you have been doing naughty things.
Have you signed offer letter with company B?

You can go ahead la but expect a bridge burned with company A

Hey, how to budget if 11k sgd/month? Single male, but with plans to marry in next year.

Looking for advice on if this is a good offer, where to rent, any tricks to save money etc
*
Since you're renting don't make your life difficult 5 out of 7 days of the week..
Rent someplace within 30 mins end to end to the office. Can even choose between wanna take bus or combo with MRT (which at peak hour, buses have more space generally, MRT gotta squeeze in)

Superb convenience and you never gonna be late.. plenty of time to eat breakkie.
My office starts early at 830am so I have to shave off every minute of transport possible (not a morning person)

Bro, visit here and see what fits you la... I stay in Woodlands coz near my office. If you work in CBD, that is over an hour train ride - damn sian.

One hour ride takes two hours per day..
Generally for a room its more or less around the ballpark of $800-900/common room except in notoriously expensive neighbourhoods like CBD
For me I value convenience more than saving the 100 bucks but staying at wrong end and have to worry about squeezing into train (as bus won't cut it for work at that distance)

IIRC latest EP application doesn't require medical check up but declaration. If required, company A would have asked you to perform the Check up by now. Check your IPA if it's attached with additinal declaration form.
I did declaration instead of full check up btw

Frankly speaking it's not a common case and MOM never published their view so we can only guess. Or why don't you ask Company B's HR presumably they have more experience or insights?

Ages ago they used to have different tiers of EP - P1, P2… The higher you earn, the less need for a medical check up. It is understood that unspoken rule still applies now

Hello peeps! I have just secured an offer to move to Sg in 2 weeks. What is your suggestion or referral with a budget of $800 including utility?
Do you think it is possible to rent in Central area (Tanjong Pagar, Chinatown or Little India) at this rate?

I have only started my search today and was surprised to find most rental site at min 1k excluding pub in Central or 800 at a distance of 1 hour away..

Hello congrats and welcome!
My suggestion is not to stay that central as the rent is expensive as you've noticed. Food and everything might be a bit more expensive too

What I did last time was to look at the MRT map and look for somewhere within ~8 stops and no transfer needed to your office
Eg. If your office is in Little India/Chinatown, look towards Serangoon for somewhere in the northeast
If your office is in Tanjong Pagar, look towards Jurong in the west, or Bedok in the east

Once you've shortlisted a few listings, just plug the addressed into Google Maps to figure out the real travel time door to door
