Hi guys,

I am looking for a pc system to power up a 2x2HDTV video wall. My budget is about RM2k.

Screen resolution for 2x2 video wall should be 3840x2140 thus the eyefinity from RED team is more preferable at the moment.

Any suggestion for the system?

i3 7100
Motherboard?
GC: R9 380x
8gb Ram
1TB HD or 128gb SSD
reliable 450-500W power supply
normal casing

Thanks for your suggestion! thumbup.gif

I've did some searching but could not find people selling similar hardware such as mine so I could not determine the price. Could anyone provide a rough estimate or guess of how much I should price my old hardwares.

This specs right?

AMD Athlon 4x 635 Processor
Asus M4N68-T Mobo
GTX580 GPU(Sent for diagnose)
1TB Samsung HDD
8GB Kingston Hyper fury X Ram
23" Samsung S23a350H (Faulty HDMI port, only VGA available)
Not much you can get from selling off your parts, mostly < RM 200 (if lucky) for CPU and mobo, GPU is not included since it is sent for checking, same goes to HDD, RAM and monitor where you can re-use them in your next build.

So it is 4 FHD TV combine together and become 3840 x 2160 right?

Just get a cheap H110 mobo and call it a day since nothing special on the mobo requirement side.

Hi all,

Looking to buy a full setup for a friend's dad.

[Budget] <RM2500

[Purpose] web browsing, word processing, movies

[Hardwares that will be re-use] none. would need to buy everything

[Monitor resolution] should be possible to get 24" 1980x1080 right?

[Games & softwares that use frequently] chrome, word, media player, etc.

[Personal preferences] I'm not sure if there's a need for a dedicated gpu, but if possible can suggest a setup with room for upgrade in the future (gpu, ssd, ram slots)

[Location] KL

Thanks!

Asus H110M-K - 279
Corsair 8GB DDR4-2133 x1 - 260
WD Blue 1TB (go for 7200rpm only) or Seagate 1TB - 212

Since you are planning to upgrade the GPU to GTX1070 (or AMD equivalent if got) in the near future, i7 is recommended so you can re-use in your next upgrade as i5 bottlenecks the GTX1070 in some CPU demanding titles (especially few recent triple A titles). But unfortunately your budget cannot fit an i7 yet, if you were to get an i7 now then you will have to rely on a low end GPU for gaming, the next available option is to wait for the cheaper AMD Ryzen 5 and their respective X300/A/B300 SFF mobo to reach Malaysia first before you make the purchase.

Intel Core i5 7500 - RM 922
ASRock H110M-ITX - RM 283
G.SKill Aegis 8GB 2133MHz RAM - RM 255
Zotac GTX1060 3GB GDDR5 Mini - RM 989
SSD re-use
HDD re-use
Superflower Leadex Silver 650W - RM 399
CM Elite 110 - RM 158

Total: RM 3006 (ETECH price inclusive of GST)

Ryzen should be better for you since you don't play games much.

Guys, I think I've lost my mind. I've just purchased a GTX 980 in the middle of the night without thinking straight..., my current specs are:

AMD Athlon 4x635
Asus M4N68-T
1TB Samsung SATA HDD
8GB DDR3 Kingston Hyper FuryX
500W PSU
Samsung S23a350H (Only VGA working)

I am expecting huge bottlenecks. Ryzen i5 coming out soon right?
