Hi.  Need opinion between this 2 PSU :

Evga G3 650W
Superflower Gold 650W

Both almost similar price. Which one is better option.
Looking to get PSU for these spec :

G4560
2 x 1tb HDD
1 x SSD
GTX 1050Ti

Is that PSU too much for that spec or should just get any other lower version or cheaper version.  Thanks.

EVGA OEM is Super Flower on most of the models. Both are top quality. If you have no plans to go high end graphic cards, 550W is still plentiful.

So far no plan going into any high end GPU. Should i just get Super Flower Silver instead of Gold?

That's up to you. Silver is cheaper but a bit less efficient. Electrical performance is still mind blowing though.

Right now AMD has better price/performance and more future proofing.

Intel has been downgraded to runner up:

5 years warranty (Don't forget to register). It is still the same Nvidia chip.

That is up to you. A320 motherboards are cheaper but you cannot overclock and less connectivity.

Hi guys, is Intel I5 3rd generation socket the same as the 7th generation socket? I mean can the latest motherboard still use the 3rd generation processor?

I've never overclocked my cpu actually so i doubt i'll be doing that with this also and i'm just a casual gamer i dont expect like ultra settings. as long a minimun of 60fps with low settings will good enough for me.

Like I said, up to you. You can bump the CPU multiplier to (36-37) 3.6-3.7Ghz without needing to pump voltage. That's about free around 15-20% performance.

Yup, almost all Ryzen CPUs can do that. Higher than that will need increased voltage.

Dear sifu,

need help to configure a gaming rig for my son, just rig without monitor & mouse & key board.

Budget: 3k+
Gaming : Stream game ie CSGold, lol, dota, fallout 4...
I'm looking at Ryzen 3 1200 (with overclock)  or 1300 with GTX1060 but seen may be out of reach due to recent price hike due to cypto mining... is there others alternative?

others question... is ryzen overclock to 3.7-3.8 good for gaming.. i like the extra juice that can squeeze from the ryzen processes + i5 is not value for money....

What is your recommendation for  rig that can be used for next 3 years for gaming...
