Not exactly sure what you mean by "upgrade your PC slowly" but your current mobo is ATX so, what ever case you intend to change to must be capable of hosting ATX mobo. "small" ATX case to consider are Fractal Design Define C, NXZT S340, Corsair 400C. As for the 500W PSUfrom Corsair and based on the list of items you provided, is sufficient, no need to upgrade for now.
*
What i mean is i am going to upgrade the components one by one. first by changing the casing cause my current casing is with 4 led fan and it's noisy so planing to change one first. I am looking at the Carbide SeriesĀ® 100R Mid-Tower Case. can this fit to my rig?

I forgot to mention. i also have 2 x WD Blue 2TB HDD and a set of CM CPU cooler. Will the PSU sufficient to support my current rig? Future i am planning to upgrade to SSD and also add on my storage HDD because currently the HDD is almost full.

500W PSU can sufficiently power 6 HDD, your current mobo and CPU along with the case fans you are planning. You just have to ensure the case you select will have sufficient clearance for the CPU cooler you plan to use

Thanks a lot for your advise. The CPU Cooler i already have but i forgot about the model.

Intel has better gaming capability but less on upgradeability
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-...0-cpu,5281.html

Switch to these parts for Intel

Core i5-8400 - 779
MSI Z370 Gaming Plus - 599
Don't look at the picture, look at the spec.

How about these?

Core i5-8400 (built-in GPU) - 779
MSI Z370 Gaming Plus - 599
Corsair 8GB DDR4-2400 - 400 (another 8GB later will be for photoshop and video editing. Photoshop loves a lot of RAM)
WD Blue or Seagate 1TB - 189
Corsair VS 450W - 180
Tecware F3 case - 145
LG 24MP59G 24" - 573
Logitech MK100 mouse and keyboard combo - 59

RM2924 total (C-Zone prices)
Means if you go Intel Coffee Lake (Z370), next upgrade in the future will be changing CPU, motherboard and maybe RAM again. AMD still supports the same motherboard and RAM till at least 2020.
*
Oh, like that, ok well if i really go through this upgrade, it will be use for another 5 year at least. The reason i am thinking of an upgrade is because of my current CPU motherboard, ram and GPU is already 6yrs old.

I am currently still considering whether should i just invest 1.5k for my GPU upgrade or 3k or all the Motherboard together.

Budget I am not sure because not sure what is available. For medium gaming, watching drama and video...etc... mostly on entertainment purposes.

Hi Sifus,

I am currently considering to upgrade my PC again. Main component to change is the CPU, Motherboard, RAM & casing. Component to reuse is the PSU, GPU, CPU Cooler, HD & SSD. I have think of a few option

Reuse part
GPU - ASUS GTX 1060 6gb
PSU - Corsair CX750M
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 (Fan need to be change)
SSD - Samsung 850 evo (250gb)
HD - 3 x 3.5" HDD.

CPU - Intel I5-8600 879
Motherboard - ASUS TUF H370 PRO GAMING (575) / ASUS PRIME Z370-P (599) / ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-H GAMING (789) / GIGABYTE H370 AORUS GAMING 3 (559) / GIGABYTE Z370-HD3 (639) / GIGABYTE Z370 AORUS ULTRA GAMING (749).
RAM - Corsair 2666 VENGEANCE CMR RGB (805) / Corsair 3200 VENGEANCE CMR RGB (859)
Casing - Phanteks Eclipse P400s (379) / NZXT H440 (499) / NZXT H500I (479) / Fractal Design Define R5 (462)

I will also need some extra fans depending on the type of casing I finally decide.

My budget i hope that it can be control at 2500 to 3000.

The Casing i am looking for case that can put in more at least 3 3.5" HDD and must be with smooth and low profile design. Don't want too bombastic design.

Hope to have good comment here.

All the casings these days are good. Aesthetics are entirely you. If you want smaller, ITX is the way to go.

Fractal Design Core 500:

Not going for iTX. i want a mid tower. Any suggestion from you?

QUOTE(Kristal.S @ Aug 24 2018, 09:36 AM)
I'd go with the followings:

CPU: Intel I5-8600 879
MOBO: ASUS TUF H370 PRO GAMING 575
RAM: Corsair 2666 VENGEANCE CMR RGB 805
CASE: NZXT H500I 479

Since you're getting a i5 8600, H370 will be good enough. I personally like NZXT casing for their sleek and elegant design but that's just how I feel. Though Phanteks P400s is a very popular choice as well.
*
Sorry but why is it H370 is already enough for I5-8600? I5-8600 cannot support higher clockspeed RAM? Should i choose ROG Strix or just TUF enough? I worried whether the H500i clearance is enough for CM Hyper 212. Sorry not so knowing about all this.

Forgot to mention, what kind of fan should i choose. there are so many option in the market with a very wide price range.

i5 8600 can support higher ram speed but for Intel platform the difference between ram speeds is not that noticeable as compared to Ryzen. Thus people usually pair locked processors with B/H mobos with 2,400/2,666mhz rams. However if you still prefer higher ram speed then yes you can go for Z series mobo to pair it with 3,200mhz rams and in the future there's room to upgrade to i5 8600k or even a i7 8700k.

Check the models individually online and see which one provides the features that you need (e.g no. of usb ports, ram slots, pcie slots). If both have all the features that you need, then choose either one which is aesthetically appealing to you. Based on specs, the CM Hyper 212 should fit just fine.

Any case fans will do honestly. Those expensive like RM100+ isn't necessary.

1) i5 8400 is a very popular choice
2) B360 mobo will be a good choice.
3 & 4) Yes, 8GB value ram is sufficient as it is the minimum requirement for most games these days.
*
Hi Kristal, I5-8400 why is it so popular? compare with I5-8600 it is more worth for the money? By the way, what is the different between ASUS TUF H370 Pro Gaming and ASUS ROG Strix H370? Been wondering which to choose.

i5-8400 is the value king. 300mhz increase for the price on i5-8600 is not worth it.

If you go Asus' website, you can always check the spec. Look at USB ports, SATA ports, PCI Express slots, features like RGB and others. H370 definitely does not support overclocking but it is a high end non-OC chipset.
*
So means that if I opp to choose I5 non OC edition, I should pick I5-8400 right? So the difference between ROG Strix and TUF gaming is just the ports and RGB features only is it?

So which should i choose...
I5-8400 - 715
Asus TUF H370 Pro Gaming - 575
16GB Corsair Vengence 2666 RGB CMR - 805
Phanteks P400s - 379
Total RM 2474

or

I5-8600K - 1015
Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Ultra Gaming - 749
16GB Corsair Vengence 3200 RGB CMR - 859
Phanteks P400s - 379
Total RM 3002

Hmm......

It's up to your personal preference on the looks of the mobo since they both have pretty much the same features.

It depends on whether you want to fork out extra 1k for parts that can be OC'd. Are you planning to OC if you get 8600k?
*
Nope, I don't think will do that. I bought the I5-3570K last time but until now still using stock setting.

Will ROG more durable than TUF? I saw the description in the website mention about this. Now i plan to upgrade is because my Mobo USB can use 2 only. The computer shop tell me that it is the Mobo problem which when it detected some problem on the Mobo, it will automatic cut out the connection some sort.

If not i won't even want to change. the PC is still working perfectly now other than the USB problem. When i transfer for files more than 600mb it will get stuck and cause my USB thumb drive to be corrupted and all files gone.
